Proximity to transport facilities
It was nice and homely.
It ticked all the boxes Paying to park, the room rates are high enough to cover this
Leaving Value for money
at the arival to the hotel the hotel had a different rate then it was originaly stated in my booking after sorting it out with hotel manager the rate was corrected but was at great inconvenience.
Location was brilliant. Staff were generally very friendly and helpful. Be prepared to queue for breakfast in the morning.
Would have liked sky tv in the room.
The hotel was very clean, the choice of food was good The hotel could do with 2 more lifts, there were a lot of disabled guests staying and the lifts are only large enough for 1 chair, creating a long wait for the others travelling in that party.
The bar staff were really nice The matress was a disgrace you could feel the springs through also we were wakened with banging at 7.45 from workmen in another room
we order a breakfast in room, and it wasnt nice at all, i had a upset stomach after eating it...
the package i booked was fab value for money and we were upgraded to a suite at no extra charge
everything the weather
Been staying at your hotel for the past five years in november and we have always had a pleasent stay, nice and relaxing atmosphere friendly staff and good food..
A lovely hotel, we had a really nice stay.
nothing the food was late and cold
staff most helpful and we were fortunate to have an upgrade of room as a result of our membership . We were at Blackpool for a show, unfortunately Restaurant did not open until 1900hrs too late for us however this is not a complaint under normal circumstances we would not eat so early.
Check iN was efficient One of the two rooms I booked was in an abysmal position. Having to pay for two nights when I only wanted one was also annoying. Breakfast was way too expensive as was the bar prices
Fantastic Staff - brilliant location Only 1 radiator worked in the suite - cold at times. Only 1 window capable of opening - rest were screwed shut!!!
the hotel was very nice and the staff were very freindly and helpful, there prices were reasonable, but for families it could run out a bit expensive. as for my wife and i it was okay and we would definatlet go back
The hotel is very stuffy and mostly for eldery people. the lounge and the bar where very quiet and did not have a relaxed atmosphere
Location. Oasis. Breakfast queues.
The food, breakfast was lovely. The receptionists were very friendly. Nice relaxing evening entertainment The room
Frontline staff were very good, the breakfast was stone cold one morning, and one dinner was almost inedible We had to get someone to get drinks as the bar was not always staffed,
Clean and friendly,good food. Nothing.
hotel was very good, staff were very friendly, our room was quite cold as someone kept leaving fire escape door open, but after a word at reseption we were given a fan heater to boost the temp of room, over all i would recomend the hotel to friends, thank you for an enjoyable stay nothing first class
everthing staff ;room. and breakfast we think that may be try and do somethink about breakfast i my self queue for 10mins for bacon andegg to come then no toast so had to go back again then my breastfast was cold so may be thats is something that you may want to look at .
Poor service - insufficient staff
friendly staff, well presented food. location was fist rate as being on seafront was a priority. would rcommend this hotel to friends and family.
Nothing unfortunately. Very disapointed expected much more. Noise. Room immediateley above function room in use Fri and Sat night till 1am. If advised this was the case would not have stayed at this hotel.
Easy access to trams, sea view, generally quiet Breakfast was shambles at times, not enough staff, tables not cleared, long queue self service
the room was very warm that is one plus point i suppose. i am trying to think of more material to write but i am sorry i am struggling with it. to be honest as it was classed as a 4 star hotel it just didnt live up to the stars in my opinion. the lift kept breaking down the menu stated boxing day, it was clean but it was just old hat and worn out the whole place. all in all maybe it is just a good place for older people to stay as they do not seem to know anything else. the hotels computors was down they did not know we was coming and we was told there is only this rough room left. so it appears we was staying in the rough room, even the bed squeked like mad and the chairs where ripped thanks.
excellent amenities and good food beds not very comfortable
friendly, polite, entertainment, clean comfortable rooms
The price The best was extremely hard!
The mattress was a combination of being extremely poor quality & extremely old resulting in uncomfortable nights sleep.
The amount of facility's that was available. The bed was like trying to sleep on a slab of concrete.
The staff were excellent This hotel is in dire need of modernisation and, in particular. the bedrooms. £80 per night for this standard of hotel is too much. The website is misleading.
Cosy & excellent value on special promotions. None
not to busy and in a good spot
This hotel was very central and pretty cheap, the owners were lovely, very friendly and accommodating. They let me keep the car in their car park for the day even after I had checked out.
Friendly staff no
Julie (sorry if I got your name wrong!) was excellent, the best service provided! the spring matress!
I only stayed one night as due to the season was moved to the Lawson on the second day. However what I saw was very good
Staff friendly, excellent parking off road, good public rooms, hearty English breakfast, walking distance to town centre and attractions. Lack of ventilation in the room. I.E. two very small transom windows, found it rather warm overnight. Otherwise the room was adequate for an overnight stay.
the staff were very friendly and helpful. The bar was open 24 hrs with very reasonable prices. .Some of our rooms were a bit shabby.
Lovely owners, and an overall nice, clean hotel, but as I told the owners as we checked out, I could feel the springs in my mattrass and had a very bad night's sleep. If we stayed there again, I'd want to find out first if the bed in our room was going to be comfortable
The staff were very friendly and made us very welsom, and it was in a really good location near to the Tower and all the shops. The price was very good too!
All the staff were very friendly & helpful. Good car parking & easy walk to tower & shops the cooked part of the breakfast - the worst we have had
(Our)Julie was great, breakfast was excellent, Parking was great
I liked the bar area adn the staff who were very friendly as indeed were the reception staff. We had one meal ther and that was breakfast. There were four of us and a one year old baby. the staff saw to our every need and the food was excellent The only problme was the car parking but I accept that situation and it wouldn't prvent me returning
The hotel was lovely, the food, the people, and I would visit blackpool again but the room you put me in was very very disapointing it actual put me off in returning to tiffanys hotel I cant remember booking into a hotel without a shower for a very very long time!! And when I asked for one at 9am I got it at 12pm very useless.
i liked the general friendly atmosphere iwas meeting up with my brother and his wife who were down from scotland we all enjoyed our stay only the lift was tiny and ancient however you have ordered a new one i know
reception area and bar very modern shame about our terrible room 116 straight above reception room was terrible it had paint peeling off cornice and had fallen into the bath.really scruffy and old fashioned nothing like the photos. we had room116 and all we could hear day and night was phone ringing at reception.rooms need modernising terrible
location was ideal for town centre atractions the lift is useless
Price and location.
Pleasant room, Very good value for money Limited times for evening meal. Entertainment to very good.
The location is great, and the evening entertainment was fun. The price is reasonable, and it's far enough out of town to not be disturbed by Blackpool partygoers. The bathroom wasn't clean. It was cold and I asked for a blanket (there wasn't one in my room) and it never arrived. The cold kept waking me up despite piling my coats on top of me during the night. The security for the area where the car keys are kept is a joke- it's only a matter of time until a car gets stolen.
Customer service poor Kept waiting to be sat for breakfast Shown to a dirty table
Breakfast was excellent. Shows were below standard for a top class Hotel. Same acts same format. needs new Mc'S.Much more comedians, less singers. Acts changed weekly to give more variety over the week, residentcompere's were using same routines very boring after awhile. sorry!
Nothing Wall paper was peeling in the room
comfort queing up for breakfast made it cold time you found a table other wise plenty of choice
The location was ideal, near to the middle of town and easy access to the Trams and buses Could do with some more evening entertainment rather than bingo, and when there was a show on, it was on too early in the evening.
for the price paid food choice was good, hot and on time the bathroom in room 118 cramped the bed mattress was like you would imagine a refugee emergeny job very dissapointing
the room was spacious and quiet small doorway to enter and leave the building
The hotel is shabby, noisy and poorly run. Our room overlooked the street and had very inadequate glazing, we were kept awake all night by guests coming back and shouting, and people in the street going to the club and kebab shop across the road. There was no bar as such, and the bathroom had no curtain or towels - it looked cold and grubby.
Room was newly refurbished. Handy for town Room 189 looked onto wall about three metres away. Windows and surrounding area unbelievably dirty. Ventilation from kitchen made room noisy
Close to The town and beach No information from staff about Blackpool
i liked the fact that it was near all shops there was no phone in the bedroom which i found strange
great if ure over 60 all customers were old
The room had a sea view and was close to town centre. The carpet needed vacuuming, the toilet hadnt been cleaned properly tv picture kept breaking up. Hotel does not offer a cooked breakfast, lunch or dinner. Wifi signal was poor.
the size of the rooms, the staff in the bar very customer focused. the hot ice package very good value for money and excellent breakfast menu. dvd didn't work very well, and there was dust under the tv, when checking package wasn't explained it was only on asking did we find out what was included.
Close to the pleasure beach. Home from home. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was lovely. Having to go home.
everyone was so freindly and helpful the food was fantastic very clean very modern great choice of wines the rooms were of a very good stanard could not fault the hotel in any way
it was a very clean and staff were so helpful, room was amazing, had a great stay and will be returning.
Welcoming, friendly reception staff. Spacious comfortable room with air conditioning, big bed and beautiful bathroom. Excellent breakfast.
Overall a very nice hotel, the breakfasts were amazing! The rooms were pretty basic, bedside lights did not work, no batteries in tv/dvd remotes, bathroom linen could have been better (no flannels or bath robes) Very noisey during the night!
We got what we expected
The hotel is in a good location with all the top class amenities you'd expect of a venue of this standard. All the staff were very helpful and extremely pleasant. Restaurant staff especially made you feel relaxed and were a good laugh. Have been before and will definitely return.
The location of the hotel and the parking facilities. The breakfast buffet was excellent.
Big room, friendly service and ease of access to Blackpool Promenade The Breakfast Buffet seemed disorganised as we had to wait nearly half an hour to get a table. When we got to our table, there were many tables not filled around us. They don't seem to be able to have enough staff/tables to accomodate all guests in a full hotel.
It was a very pleasant place to stay I found the bed very hard
owners very helpful and rooms very clean vegetarian breakfast requested but was same as full english without sausage and bacon. veggie sausages would have been nice
location ideal for town center and attractions
coming back to peace and quiet and just relaxing, and the food, which was delicous thank you my grandaughter was a bit disappointed there wasnt enough tv channels namely the music channels
The owners were extreemly helpful.Breakfasts are good and tea making facilities in the room make life more pleasant.
Peaceful. Breakfast was great had full English made fresh each morning nothing
everything, but especially the owners
the hotel was comfortable clean owners helpful and frienly nothing
The staff were extremely friendly. It was a lovely atmosphere
the staff were great did not recieve a sea view
Very friendly and helpful staff. Gave good advice and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely return in the future. Thanks v much :) I was woken by noise (prob from kitchen) at approx. 6.30am.
Modern and comfortable bedroom. Well presented dinner and excellent breakfasts Staff seemed a bit "fed up"!
Room was comfortable, clean and had a good shower. Plenty of space to do paperwork. Staff were very pleasant and room service was excellent. Location was important to me as I need to be close to my very elderly Mum who lives 10 mins walk away. I have stayed here before and would do so again. Breakfast tea/coffeee was served in vacuum jugs at the counter but this may have been due to a large coach party being served at the same time.
it was well furbished, reception were helpful and informative, food very good, staff pleasant and cheery my single room was a bit small
i didnt like the idea of the lounge area of the hotel being booked privatley so i was unable to use that part of the hotel the bar area in the dining side was not really adequate for relaxing with a drink
Clean rooms, very modern. Breakfast was a buffet where you can eat as much as you like! Nice dining room, nice cutlery. Travel cots were free on request as long as you booked them in advance. Decent location with seaview. Hotel was easy to get to from the motorway & directions we were given were good. Shower was so small. Corridors/lifts very small. Baring in mind we had taken our 5 month old baby, we struggled getting to & out of our room. As the weather was cold, we stayed in but there wasn't much choice in terms of tv channels. We couldn't have one or two lights on at the same time in the hotel room - if we wanted one light on we had to turn them all on.
the room was very clean and they cleaned the room every day and that was plus point off my stay. the food was not good at all and some of the check in staff was not very helpfull
All of the staff were really polite and friendly, we look forward to our next visit. Nothing at all.
The hotel was dirty, masking tape covering electric wires & a water leak in the double room, the hotel staff put towels on the floor to mop up the leak,
quality of the breakfast the reception area of hotel ok but the room was very poor for the price,it was noway a £35 a night hotel
The sea view - the hotel sits on the prom with a lovely view of the sea The attic room had its number written on with felt tip pen - the walls where the most horrible colour - the room was tiny and set back in the 1970'S. The bar was supposed to be open till midnight but was closed when arrived back at 10pm. We didnt expect the Savoy but we were very dissapointed with the hotel
room clean and tidy nothing special but fulfilled our needs and priced accordingly. Typical Blackpool.
We chose the Gainsborough because we were treating ourselves to a hotel on the prom for the first time and requested a sea view. Also the breakfasts were delicious. the ensuite was clean but lacked storage for basic toiletries (toothbrushes, toothpaste) and somewhere to put your towel when you were showering
Good position with sea view friendly staff, clean bedding, allowed for early entry into room On suit in need of refurbishment, dirty marked carpets
friendly staff , clean and tidy and good location inadequate heating in room
The staff was very good but l was disappointed to find out after booking with yourselfs that the accomadation had not been booked with the hotel, as it happens they was able to give us a room but not what we required
Nothing to like about the Gainsborough. Room was dirty, wallpaper peeling off, damp walls, mould in the shower. The whole experience was unpleasant, we couldn't get out quick enough.
The standard of cleanliness was excellent, the staff were helpful and friendly.
Cleanliness of room and staff was informed on web their was a pool table, darts etc. This was not the case. Bar not manned all evening
Friendly staff and lovely welcome. The room was a bit small and breakfast was only served till 9am!
the breakfast would have liked a glass of wine before going out to have tea
It was nice, clean and warm and the owners was friendly and helpful. A nice hotel for a short break by the sea. I would stay there again.
excellent breakfast, very clean rooms, friendly staff
staff were very pleasant high standard in cleanliness also very friendly alround good family holiday break. just off south beach 2 min from pleasure beach and tram stops big thanks to john and jossie for a good weekend
Cleanliness of the room and very accommodating Not being able to park close to the hotel
Warm welcome, helpful staff.Comfortable beds. Only stayed for one night but the breakfast was excellent. The bathroom was a bit on the small side.
a fantastic break, very clean rooms, lovely breakfast, great location near pleasure beach.
Friendliness of the management
friendly welcome and comfortable facilities bar facilities could have been more available and quality of draft lager not good
We were made very welcome from the moment we arrived the food was very good and I was amazed at how well organised tony and steve were at breakfast I am a chef and could not fault the food or the service. I would definately return and recommend it to friends Being a little athritic I found the stairs difficult, but the overall cleanliness and decorative touches more than made up for th lack of a lift. Perhaps one of those stair lifts would be appropriate for less than mobile oldies.
Early booking in. Communication from Hotel before arrival.
The food was yummy and the bedrooms were clean and comfortable and maintained to a high standard Too much polish in the entrance hall was overwhelming
Very helpful . excellant food None
Staff extremely pleasant and welcoming, excellent value for money, ideal location for all seaside attractions, (not too fr for little legs to walk.) Funny smell from the shower in the bathroom
The hotel is so very well run and spotless everywhere was so clean and tidy and smelt lovely the breakfast was brilliant great choice and well worth getting up at 8.30 for got to be the best hotel we have stayed in and will most certainly be back
The beds were comfortable Everything was very clean Staff were friendly No map available to show way around area
The bacon! Noise travels too well through the floors - other guests woke us at 6am. Rooms very small, not really a double room for size more like a single. Showers annoyingly small kept catching the shower control and getting burnt! Ok for two nights but no longer
The room was comfortable and the staff helpful and friendly
pool and room itself was OK Room 117 has terrible view and rooms seems dark-would not come back to that floor again. No staff in gym to ask about equipment.
Can't say enough about the helpfullness and quality of the staff. First rate. The "Nineteen" restaurant was very good and value for money. Bedroom was smaller than anticipated. Brasserie did not represent value for money due to limited (and slightly pretentious) menu.
An excellent hotel, great location, friendly staff
room small, facilaties not all that
location and surroundings room view and lack of air conditioning
the hotel location, pool, and staff + a very good breakfast with lots of choice rooms are a bit dated but still nice
Facilities were good as was the breakfast. Rooms were tired looking and the equipment was dated. Guests allowed to smoke throughout corridors despite no smoking signage. Noise from function rooms below bedrooms can be heard into early hours of morning and then noise from guests who attended function as they come back to thier room.
everything was lovely - very satisfied
I thought the drinks were very expensive, £11 for 3 drinks in the bar. I also didn't like th efact that you can hear everything outside your room when ignorant people are walking past in the evening. Can I suggest that you have staff on each corridor at night making people aware that they need to keep the noise down as people are trying to sleep.
Bar open late so you can grab a night cap when you get in from you night out. Stayed in room 304, wall paper coming off the walls, no blind/curtain in the second skyline window? lost all power to lights in the morning, had to have bathroom door open or it would have been a shower in the dark. No phone in the room to ring reception in case you had a problem like we did.reception bit of a walk. Whitener in the room instead of liquid cartons you normally find in hotels?? Full english breakfast advertised..i don't think so,no mushrooms, hash browns,no apple juice,no fresh fruit,no toms???nice fried bread though. Service was raw, gent had tea towel on his shoulder which he used to handle hot plates. He also had long hair which also rested on his shoulder on the towel hmm..would have spent £20 more for big chain hotel in end.
staff very friendly.Nice bar lounge area bedrom and bathroom very small
Staff very helpful and friendly
The hotel was in a good area.Staff were very good .We had a good weekend. We were kept awake all night on the saturday by the hen and stagg groups that were also staying there.
the staff were always helpful, and sorted problems straight away, excellent service. obviously going late in the year the mattresses are a little tired not very comfortable to sleep in.
Excellent staff, nothing was too much trouble. Very tired room
Staff and proxinminty to blackpool Stained carpets, worn furniture , bad smells, drunks every where, lots of smokers stading right outside the front door.
Staff were so helpful. Hotel location was ideal. Bar was big and fully stocked. Rooms very warm and a little on the small side, however we didnt spend too much time in them so it wasnt so bad at all.
Nothing at all Damp smelling rooms, stained floor, dirty bed sheets, dirty toilet, tiny cramped room, dirty shelves/drawers/cups. Chipped walls, drugs on the top shelf of 'wardrobe'. Only getting £30 back after we stayed there for 10 mins and then left. What a joke that place is.
Nice friendly service, lovely food Smelt of cigarette smoke
Location, comfort of room, comfortable bar area and excellent Indian Resteraunt attached to the hotel.
Very welcoming, exceptionally clean hotel and good value for money in the restaurant. The Indian restaurant, Jali, which is also a part of the hotel, is quite superb We found our bedroom on the cold side but as the weather was exceptionally cold for the time of year we did not complain.
The food was nice and staff very helpful. Room was very small for the price i paid
very friendly staff nice room good food
staff were great and friendly good breakfast clean modern rooms really enjoyed our stay no complaints
The staff were excellent. Faultless. Polite, friendly and efficient. A credit to the hotel. The room (in November) was a bit cold when we arrived.
Staff were very helpfull.Nothing was too much trouble.Food at breakfast was first class.Highly reccomended.
Have stayed before - ideal location.
Excellent location with parking, friendly staff, clean rooms and superb breakfast. Great choice for short stay with the main town, tower and shops only a leisurely 10 minute walk. Rooms were a little hot but we simply opened a window.
Lack of parking, room was tired and small in need of refurbishment, cost was high for what you got. I have stayed in hotels all over the country and the world both for pleasure and work and can honestly say this was one of the dearest and poorest I have stayed in.
Excellent food and entertainment To many children runing about at night
Food - Quality, quantity & choice. The service was also excellent, food was at your table within minutes of ordering. Parking was a bit hit & miss. Being a week-ender all spaces taken up when I arrived, had to park on street, but this seems to apply to all hotels on the Blackpool seafront.
staff were ok hotel ok parking not ok. parking.
The food was well presented, lots of choice and served by attentive waiters. The room we booked was a little small, so upgraded to a bigger room with a side view of the sea, which was wonderful.
The staff were superb, from initial greeting at the door to booking out they couldn't do enough for us. The entertainment in the evening was the best I've seen at a British hotel. Excellent! Car parking is at a premium and you can't book it. Be prepared to drop off your gear and park away from the hotel.
Room cleanliness & comfort & the fact it was so quiet & peaceful at the back of the hotel.
the hotel is of a very good standard,my wife and i have stayed there on many occasions and have yet to find any faults, heres to the next visit.
The heated pool, sauna & jacuzzi were fab. Breakfast was average, but the service in the dining room was excellent. Bedroom was ok, but the bathroom was pokey, so small in fact that you had to sit sideways on the loo because your legs would not fit in between the loo & wall! We checked in at 1.50pm (10 mins before the time on our booking confirmation) & were made to hang around in the reception area for 10 mins like naughty school children. Found the experience very unprofessional. Another thing that bothered me was the fact there was no sink in the bathroom, had to use the basin in the bedroom after using the toilet - I hope they give that handle a good clean after every visitor!
