The gym was not too bad. Extremely unprofessional front desk teams. Called me at 09.30 pm to come down and pay the bill because I was checking out the next day. I spend 200 nights in hotels all over the world. Never made such an experience before.
The beds and linens are amazing. Staff is friendly, nice views of the mountains, the location is awesome. Walking distance to shopping, parks, restaurants, the old town, etc. Would definitely go back. Got upgraded to a suite and it was huge! Internet access is mxn 170/day/computer. So my laptop was that and if I wanted to connect the wifi on my iphone it would have been an additional MXN170/day. I think that is very expensive as it's free at other hotels in the area.
The room was ok When i check in they ask for room deposit but i get it back when i cheking out everything else was ok
Staff was very educated and helpful. Everyone was corteous and smilling. I had to verify twice my rate, as the hotel was not applying the tariff I got via booking.com. They gave me a higher rate when I checked in and was told that "the system would not take the other rate" and then at the end, I had to ask the front desk to honor my rate.
This is my first time staying at a Novotel in Mexico and I was pleasantly surprised, this is a great hotel for business with prime location near restaurants and shopping in the border between upscale neighborhood of San Pedro and Monterrey.
I liked the security that my car was not in the open and limited access to the parking garage That the hotel was so hard to find
Staff friendly and always helpfull. They close the pool for one day, because of one event.
The service was good and the staff helpful but the hotel needs a good renovation. The room looked very old and need a good make over.internet cable was not working and wifi signal quiet low so speed was slow.
Hotel staff was friendly and hotel was in center of city. Not sure if it was hotel or booking.com but they tried putting me in a standard room and I selected club. After I showed them booking confirmation they quickly changed my room.
The service was excellent, the room on the executive floor was spacious and the quality of the bed, furniture, linens, etc. was very good. The room had robes and the in-room dining was excellent. Concierge and bell hop were extremely helpful. A 7-11 convenience store across from the hotel was very useful to buy drinks and other daily supplies. Excellent value for money. Rooms are 4.5 stars! Best stars should go to hotel staff. While inside the hotel and its perimeter, you are shielded in luxury but the neighborhood has deteriorated and it's lack luster. Too many cheap bars and stores around the area. The concierge and bell hop desk try to help as much as possible getting anything one may need outside of the hotel. But it is not an area where I felt comfortable going for an afternoon stroll. It is a shame because the hotel is excellent. This hotel is great for any one with a bit thicker skin.
Charming and very well located hotel in the city. It has s nice style but need the update. This hotel need an update. For Sheraton is just too run down and old. The internet service in the lobby did not work or the stuff was not helpful enough to explain the conditions. They were basically pushing the 24 hours service that I did not needed due to the whole day meetings that I was attending. I set up a weak up call and the stuff forgot to wake me up.
the staff they do a good job. the service at the restaurant the best. the look of the interiors they try to hard trying to look well, but everything looks fake bad finish. the shawre leeks the barroom smells bad and the carpet and floors cheap.
Because it is very confortable, and it is in a good place and accesible to the mall
Staff was friendly and accomodating... will be staying at this hotel on future visits! Breakfast was just ok...no real variety from day to day...was the same.
First & foremost, the hotel deserves more than 2 stars. Everything for a 2 star hotel was beyond what I expected
The common areas: The lobby, the halls, etc. I like the restaurants. The buffet is very enjoyable and has a terrific paella. Staff is very polite. (1) Cleaning and laundry: I was told twice that somebody would come by for my clothes. No one did. This also happened on a past trip.
Internet services were below par. Computers in business center were unable to connect to the internet at times.
everything was clear in the hotel. there was reaaly no problem in hotel. very comfortable and luxury in budget rates. offcourse not anything to complate.
The communication between occupants appeared to be very good. I was recieved very well and the service was exceptional. None
The other reviewer got it right. I didnt listen. You could try the SAFI across the street but skip the Intercontinental and the NH. SAFI has a fantastic buffet breakfast and Id try that one the next time I go. It couldnt be any worse than spending 2 weeks in the Camino Real. PS: Absolutely nothing works right!
Stayed there for a night, it was really bad. The bathroom smelled and the staff do not have a clue what they are doing. It took them one hour to find my reservation. Stay away!!!
One of the hotel restaurants, Kyo, has a great asian fussion cousine menu. Front desk staff lost my reservation, they didnt help me to improve my new years eve experience by not offering me other services that i could pay them as combo, they charge every service separely, i dont recommend this hotel because the lack ofservice.
This is not a 4 star hotel. Maybe in a fifth world country. The hallways are uncomfortably hot. I doubt they use the air conditioning. It took three days and numerous calls to get an ice bucket with no lid and the size of a martini shaker. Carpeting is so inferior and poorly installed there are waves of air under foot-needs to be stretched. Checked in and waited 20 minutes for a manager because the desk clerk said are printed reservation was not what they had recieved from booking agent. They cannot DO ANYTHING without a manager who is never at the desk and is 'busy' elsewhere. Walls are paper thin-you could hear the TV next door. Poorly managed. One big ugly motel posing as a 4 star premise. WORST hotel experience in my life. No offers of compensation not gesture of goodwill. RUN to the Quinta Real across the street- they know property management. The Camino Real is run by robots who seek only the bottom line. Come to think of it the bottom is where they are at. Furnishings are retrea...

The restaurant Boss (Mr. Cortez) is a jewel, what a great world class service and attention to detail, pleasantly experience at the restaurant The train track in front of the hotel, the trains that pass in front of the hotel blow the train horn before crossing a busy intersection, woke me up twice at night! every night.
Service wasn't as I expected. They were not very responsive to requests.
Was very clean well kept property and in a good neighborhood. Enjoyed the entire experience save for being next to the elevator and enduring the traffic and noise.
The hotel is spotless , great experience over all Nothing to complain
Beds are just wonderful! and the bathroom is very nice, with great amenities and water pressure. Definitively the best option in the area
Premises are nice and plenty of parking space. My room was not done during my entire stay (two nights).
I booked this hotel for my mother in-law and she loved it. The room was comfortable and the location was fantastic, it has access to the main avenues and it is close to the shopping mall and all sorts of restaurants. It was a great value for the price.
The complementary Breakfast Maybe the main entrance to get into the hotel

Train passed in front and makes a lot of no use at night
Food was good. Bedroom was spacious. Location is decent. Air conditioning is absolutely terrible. This is the first hotel I've ever been to that has NO ice makers. You hvae to call the restaurant. Room smells bad.
All the staff were so friendly and helpful.Really went out of normal courtesy. There was no resturent for food for the day, except breakfast.
Rude staff at check in, long line, terrible parking access, noisy, smelly room, AC subpar. So much that i will never stay here again and am telling others.
I could not have been happier once I arrived and realized that this hotel was literally inside the park! It was such a lovely location with a boat ride from the park taking you directly to the downtown (we did this Sat.--not sure if it's available during the week) and ending right at one of the museums. Inside the park itself was lots of open space to walk around, bike ride, there was miniature golf, exercise equipment, plus lots of beautiful fountains and art pieces to enjoy. The hotel is also quite close--maybe a 5 min. taxi ride--to some great restaurants. It was quiet and peaceful and I will definitely stay there again in the future.
The staff was very helpful and accommodated everything that I needed and asked for. The hotel was very close to the Auditorio Banamex and next to the Parque Fundidora. It's lovely. The hotel has a very modern design and the bed was comfortable. It just couldn't buy any water from a vending machine, but room service was open all night for me to order late night drinks & food after the concert I went to at the Auditorio Banamex.
It is truly a hotel with a spacious, open lobby, contemporar decor and furnishings and a gracious wait staff. My room was very comfortable and quiet with a functioning air conditioner, nothing maladorous and no pests. Negative comments are that the swimming pool wasn't kept clean (although a very nice setting) and the food, particularly the Sunday brunch, wasn't all that tasty. Pricing was somewhat comparable to other hotels in the area, which are considerably overpriced when comparing them to their U. S. counterparts, but that just goes with the territory. I would definitely stay here again, but would eat elsewhere and probably not use the pool.
The locations was very good The rooms were slightly out dated and due for new carpets.
Location, staff, complementary breakfast & price No
rooms are clean. the area is conveniently located close to major shopping centers. cable, wireless internet and parking is free. no complimentary toiletries. no complimentary breakfast!
the staff is very good, you get a free continental breakfast , nice pool, i realy like it ,if u are on a budget is great.
service atention and amability
rooms are nice bad exit to the main road
The only good thing about this hotel is the location but other than that i wouldnt stay here again It is not the hotel that hotel that apears in the website this hotel is old and to pricey for what it is ee canceled our last night and went to a FIESTA INN beside this one and that one i definetly recomend
No one could speak English to help me with normal needs at desk or in the restaurant. The food was not good. Low quality food and not prepared well. Not practical to go out since travelling alone. I did not look forward to eating breakfast or supper.
Our room was comfy, and the amenities were wonderful. We enjoyed time at the pool and the breakfasts as well. However, we did receive someone else's wakeup call one morning at 3 am, and did not receive a receipt for staying at the hotel, so I could not forward my points to be added to my membership rewards account.
Bright, sunny, clean, comfortable! A friendly staff, an exercise room, a pool! A nice little bar, good food. Fresh mountain air! A great location! Close to everything! All at a reasonable price. You just cant beat the combination of all those good things!
For me the day starts with a good breakfast and their morning buffet is very good-not fancy but just a very good breakfast with a lot of choices. Beats the hell out of continental breakfasts that I usually experience when traveling. The staff at the front deck was top notch-very helpful with all my requests and questions. If you are with someone who enjoys shopping at a mall, the skyway takes you directly from the hotel to the mall and it appears to be upscale but I am not a shopper. No car needed for this and it's but a 10 minute walk over the highway. Because I speak not a word of Spanish, the front desk took care of all my taxi needs. I look forward to visiting Monterrey this December and will definately stay at this hotel again.
