The staff was pleasant and was very helpful and prompt in correcting my reservation. Telephone assistance was a little slow in response. I had to wait for 3 minutes to be transfered to the appropriate department. I don't understand why the oper could not help with simple inquiries.
Close to Robson street shopping and restaurants by walking. VERY unflexible bellhops! To them the hotel guests like us, just rambling re rules and hotel laws instead of cathering to our wishes,re the luggage carts etc..seemed as if common sense did not prevail at all!
I've stayed at the Sheraton before. The location and value are great I was put off when the woman at the front desk ask me to email her my confirmation receipt upon checking in. In addition, there is a night club very close by that was in full swing until 3am. I was in town for an event and needed to get up at 5. Needless to say, I didn't sleep well.
The hotel is centrally placed in the city and an easy walk to most of the major locations. The employees were very helpful. The facilities were clean. The price was very reasonable as well. I would definitely stay here again. Our room in the evening must of had some young kids nearby as music was heard along with laughing and voices through the walls or possibly through the ceiling. That was the only inconvenient part of the stay.
Great hotel, location staff etc. stay here and you will have an awesome time! Aloha
The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning got the room nice and cold. The room was outdated and not as advertised on the website.
The staff were very kind For the south tower: The Lobby, the entrance and elevators were not four star at all!
the crisp clean looking bed, made you feel comfortable before you actually snuggled under the sheets. Upon arrival at the hotel approached by very friendly valets and made you feel valued.
The location was perfect within walking of excellent restaurants and shopping. We also enjoyed the clean spacious rooms and the comfortable beds. The live entertainment in the lounge is always makes for a nice evening. Although we were just visiting the city, our stay at the hotel made the visit better. The staff was most helpful in directing us around the city---even to the Japadog stand near Smithe St. There are no negative comments about our stay at the hotel.
It's a great and pleasant stay
Bed and bed linen were great. Movie menu never worked even though I asked twice to have it checked. I had to ask for shower caps and they arrived 2 days after my request.
The restaurant at Four Seasons had a delicious breakfast and the bed was super comfortable! The hotel feels a little old and worn down rather than luxurious, the gym is small, hot-tub was luke warm with no jet power, pool looks nice but it's small and shallow and there were silverfish in the sauna. On top of this I had some thing happen to me personally that didn't make it a great experience overall (things like the cleaning staff didn't come any day I was there).
The staff at this facility were very, very kind; and very, very helpful. The best I've ever encountered. Top marks.
Unbelievably attentive staff and attention to detail.
Staff were very helpful Expensive.
This hotel was nice We had a good time there our negative has to be that we came back with bedbugs. This were found two days later. My wife killed one and had been bitten on her arms and neck area
The staff was incredibly professional with wonderful attitudes.
I arrived at 2.0 pm and asked for my room, but it wasn't ready until 4.0pm. I reserved a deluxe suite with downtown view, but I got one with a swimming pool view. It was a bit challenging to get my room.
Called 3 times to try to stop and retrieve a phone charger. Put on hold for too long, name, phone number and email taken. Promises to get back. no follow through 3 times. finally just bought a new charger before my next stop. You would think that a 5 stare $400/night would have a system for collecting, marking and storing items left in rooms.
Fantastic customer service, staff friendly but professional. Bed incredibly cozy, just what I needed after a long flight from France. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Hotel is walking distance from Granville Island, Stanley Park, and the Aquarium. Close to great restaurants and shopping. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and the restaurant is excellent.
Perfect location close to downtown shopping. Great staff. Amazing restaurant on site. Hotel is a bit dated. Carpet was damaged in our room. Very modest for the price- but the location was so great
Restaurant was over priced and food was horrible. When told server nothing was done about it to make it right
Large, comfortable and at a great price.
Their Italian restaurant is superb. Pasta homemade daily and the best haibut I've ever had. Rhe rooms are spacious, simple and comfortable. The staff warm and gracious.
The spaciouness The pillows were not confortable at all to get a good night rest
It was easy to find the hotel location, parking, and the view was lovely. The hotel staff were friendly, helpful, and easy to reach. The bed was comfortable and the room had that sort of dated but welcoming feel. The room looked like it used to be an apartment or condo that was redeveloped into a hotel. There is a pool - in the basement. The fitness center is top-notch. There is an elevator - more than one. A spa and a great little café are on the first floor. The cleaning left something to be desired. The toilet had obviously not been wiped down and there was hair in the shower. The sheets had been changed and windows wiped down - so it was okay...but it could use some work. Parking - When I checked in they said they could add parking at $17/day to my bill. I was fine with that - but when I got the receipt with taxes and fees it was more like $22/day. I would have been fine with the $22/day - but be upfront about it. Either say it is $17/day and stick with that or say it is $17/day plus taxes and fees. It put a sour note on the check out experience.
Very nice employees The cleanliness of my room, needed more cleaning details the room smells the carpet was dirty and you can smell it

Got a studio suite and was not expecting the kitchen, separate bedroom, big living room and balcony! Great spot.
location close Stanley park. Very clean and romantic setting. Fantastic view of the downtown Beds were hard and uncomfortable
I booked this hotel because I got a great deal, but was very pleasantly surprised when I got there and saw how nice it was! Definitely way better than what I had expected for the price I go on Kayak. The single room I booked was very spacious and clean, with a couch, dining table and a full kitchen, even including appliances (full size fridge, oven, microwave, electric kettle, toaster, etc') and dishes in the cabinets!! Staff was super nice and helpful and let me check in early even though I arrived way before the normal check in time. Even more value for your money, they gave me great coupons to use both at the restaurant and the spa. There is also a cool little cafe you can enter right from the lobby. since the weather did not cooperate with my plans to go for a day of hiking in the area while I was there, I decided to stay in and pamper myself with one of the spa packages for half a day. It's a bit on the pricy side, but they really did think of EVERY little detail to make sure you felt pampered and relaxed, so I feel was well worth the expense, and I had a great time. I did not know this, but the lady who took care of me at the spa also told me the hotel is pet friendly which is really nice. Though I did not see any pets over the weekend I spent there. The location is great, right in the middle of everything, walking distance to lots of great shopping, Granville Island, and the sky train. Overall it was a very pleasant stay, and I would totally come back if I'm in the area again. Would have loved to try the restaurant, but it didn't work out with my other plans this visit.
The location, mini kitchen &1 bedroom suite, the hotels restaurant and a great coffee shop were all great for the cost.
n'espresso maker in room. big tub. fireplace in room. saltwater pool and hot tub open year round. awesome concierge. housekeeping noticed I'd bought a bottle of scotch and proactively left me proper highball glasses for it! not really any view
Staff was so nice, car to take us to dinner, beds very comfortable, big bathrooms, luxurious robes.
Great location. Beautiful room including living area and outdoor patio (had a fifth floor corner room with two walls of window). Incredibly efficient and friendly staff. Surprising inexpensive. There was construction going on across the street. No fault of the hotel but did make for a mixed view. Shows that the city is bustling and the concierge immediate apologized to each new guest instead of making excuses for it.
We arrived early in the morning from a cruise ship. The staff was so welcoming. We knew at 9am a room would not be available...so we went off to explore Vancouver. 30 minutes later we had a cell phone call that our beautiful room was available. I don't want to rant...on and on...so all I will say as a previous owner of a meeting planning company that needed to book high end hotels for my VIPS...this is a very classy and comfortable property at a wonderful rate. WE WILL STAY HERE OUR NEXT VISIT TO VANCOUVER. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
The staff was very professional and friendly. Very classy overall feel to the style of the hotel. Their was nothing I disliked about our stay. Would definately stay here again.
I was in Vancouver for one night for an early AM meeting. I had a long day of work and travel before checking in and the staff made me feel immediately welcome. My room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. I regret not having more than a few hours to take advantage of this property. No cons to report
Very friendly staff, very customer oriented. Clean, nice rooms/suites. Great location right downtown. Just a little mold on the grout in the bathroom.
Extremely helpful, friendly and dedicated service. Unfortunately, we were in and out quickly for an early flight, but everyone was terrific in getting us checked in, fed, and out the door to the airport on time.
The room huge, staff caring, hotel conveniently located in downtown, and awesome. Busy street during day because of near by building construction but not really an issue. Still quiet in room!
The staff were extremely courteous, calm under pressure and helpful. The room was lovely with all the facilities you could wish for. The hotel was clean throughout.
The best hotel on our 3-week westcoast trip. Best value for money. Perfect comfort. Very good breakfast. Very central location. Highly recommendable.
Great location close to the Waterfront and Gastown also good for nearby shopping. Room facilities excellent, tea/coffee maker, iron & ironing board, hairdryer. Fab bathroom. Its not a big thing but the breakfast room needs to be a bit brighter. The breakfast itself is excellent.
We enjoyed our two nights at the Hotel, fantastic breakfast, nice reception, clean room and beautiful bathroom.
Clean comfortable room and the breakfast was very good too. Great location right downtown. We will stay at St.Regis again.
The people at the desk were very helpful and so friendly.Craig in the breakfast room was also helpful and so well informed on things to do.He is such an asset to your business.I liked the breakfasts but would love to have had something that was not sweet such as a bagel. Toast was the only choice for me. I don't eat sweet rolls and muffins. I am glad you do not change the sheets daily. The computers were handy. There were not enough hangers in the closet. I would like to use the towels more than one day and not change the sheets at all. Changing the sheets every 5 or 6 days would same a lot of energy and water.
easy walking to Gas Town. Nicely updated. Very nice luxury bath features. Small room but ccmfortable with everything we needed. Friendly courteous staff. Great breakfast Bed too soft for my back. Pillows too large.
Comfortable and quiet room, friendly staff, the hotel is in a good location, close to metro.
Very comfortable and the staff were extremely accomodating. No spa facility onsite.
The service at the reception and breakfast was very good. Good informations about Vancouver from the reception and good recommendations for several good restaurants. Very central location.
Helpful staff with interest in our enjoyment. Nicely decorated and refurbished hotel. The parking lot is not attached and requires moving luggage across an alley
Staff was friendly & efficient. Great value w breakfast. Room was clean and tasteful. Bathroom was spacious enough. All in all 4 stars!
Rooms, Staff, location and amenities made this a delightful stay overall. I'd stay here again for sure.
Service Concierge, especially Miguel! night desk staff, Zach, Jennifer, & Wing! TV remote was too hard to read, & sometimes didn't work! However, the electrician was quick to arrive!
Great hotel everything was so nice. The staff were so helpful. The rooms very comfortable and bedding was great!
The service in this hotel is always excellent and guests are made to feel welcome from the moment they are greeted at the front door. Nothing
The location was perfect in the heart of Yaletown in Vancouver. The room was small, poorly decorated and without elegance.
The personnel was extremely kind and helpful; nice chocolates on the pillows before night; nice bodycare products in the bathroom. Great views from the hotelroom.
It is so quite inside the lobby and halls. The hotel's location is so amazing. Yes, the noise out side the hotel specially the Burrard ST.
I was most impressed by the staff. From check-in to check-out, they were all responsive and positive and we enjoyed our visit because they made us feel welcome.
Beautiful hotel. Great Location. Friendly Staff.
Everything worked The restaurant is excellent but I will like some more alternatives
The staff was great and very helpful. I like the room as well. It wasn't spacious but well designed. Location was within walking distance to great shopping. I would have loved a bigger gym. wanted to try the spa but ran out of time.
We love the proximity to BC Place stadium. Yes, we had booked a room with 2 queen beds and a fold out sofa and were put in a room with only one bed and a fold out sofa. There were no other rooms so we could not change, nor was there a reduction in price. Bed was too hard for our comfort.
great room layout for us, having a separate sleeping area. Conveniently located to get to BC Place Stadium! friendly staff and clean hotel. waiting for the elevators and walking through the front desk area to get to and from the pool.
Professional hotel staff. Large and clean room. Very well located in Vancouver downtown. Highly recommended hotel.
large rooms, lots of space, great location in heart of Vancouver city
Traveling with kids, it was great to have the different living spaces/sleeping areas, and the kitchen.
Room was quiet and clean We had asked for a suite with 2 bedrooms but ended up with only one bedroom and two beds
The bathroom was in poor shape. No water pressure and the toilet didn't flush properly. Room 1402
Place seemed very clean. Staff was flexible and friendly. The price seemed to be a good value for such a large room given how expensive Vancouver is. I paid a fair amount more for a space 1/4th the size in NYC. I liked that they had a pool, jacuzzi, and exercise machines. The views were great and the rooms were very spacious- both a bedroom and living room, so good for families or small groups of friends. Great location- close to sporting arenas and an easy walk to the skytrain stations. Housekeeping was very accommodating. The large suite style rooms work well if you need to spread out for a longer trip or make room for family members. Comfortable and unpretentious. WiFi? Forget it. Didn't work at all. The friend staying with me was an IT professional who told a staff member part of what the issue was, but the staff member didn't seem to have the technical knowledge to fix it. I just gave up on it after trying many times over several days. Don't come to this hotel if you need WiFi. I was glad they had newspapers to read instead. Cable channels seemed disorganized and lacking in selection- no in-room channel guide provided. No free breakfast either; I was paying a lot for the room and this should have been included. The $60 per night place I stayed the first night I was in town did offer this, and the price for this room was much more spendy. And yes, the place was spendy, but was not modern, upscale or trendy (in the best sense of the word).
Convenience to Orpheum theatre N/A
I have stayed in downtown Vancouver many times. I don't know how I hadn't heard of the Rosedale before looking to book this trip online. Check in was quick and easy and they let us check in 2 hours early. The hotel is clean, the service was excellent, our requests for extra towels and coffee in the room were fulfilled literally within minutes of the requests being made. The location is amazing. We had a fabulous meal at Rosies Restaurant downstairs. We will definitely book there again next time. Make sure you put your "Do Not Disturb" sign out when you go to bed. The maid knocked on our door at 8:15 a.m. We were up...but what if we hadn't been?
I arrived very late and left very early. The suite was great. The wake up call came in. A brief but positive experience.
Location, location, location 2nd Visa charge - not too sure what it was for
Staff curteous/friendly Handicapped had to enter hotel thru noisy pub
The hotel room was very nice and clean. We could tell that it had been recently renovated. Free coffee in the lobby all day was a nice touch. KAYAKs site clearly stated that the parking was free but when we checked in, the hotel staff said that the parking is never free. I am currently going back and forth trying to get reimbursed for the parking that I had to pay for. Had I known that I would have had to pay for parking, I would have stayed elsewhere. Especially since the parking lot was not covered and the hotel is located in an extremely active nightclub area. I worried about my car the whole time and the management was rude to me when I tried to explain my issue.
Bed comfort, bathroom, wifi. Too much noise from the street - needs triple glazing.
Very good location and good deal for the money. It might not be a good place for families being above a bar and night club and on the busiest party street in Vancouver.
We were looking for a place to spend our last night in Vancouver after being at a marquee hotel for a conference for a few days. The room was small but clean and comfortable, so it perfectly matched our expectations. Free wi-fi and a 20% discount at the pub downstairs were bonuses.
Liked Irish Pub on the first floor, clean room and convenient beds Noise from outside after party crowds, air conditioner vent faces one of the beds too directly, no refrigerator
Professional, helpful staff Clean room, no odours Too much noise in the small hours from Granville Street partiers Bed was too soft Small room, tight quarters
It was perfect for what we were looking for. We didn't intend to stay in the hotel for anything more than sleep, so we just wanted a clean, well-maintained hotel with a central location in downtown. It was by a wide margin the best hotel I could find in this price range. The staff was incredibly friendly and always willing to help you find where you are going. The room was small and the hotel didn't offer many extras, though that wasn't important to us anyway. The internet was far from "high speed" (about 2 Mbps at best) but for what I hear, thats about average in BC.
The downtown location was excellent, good price, clean, and friendly/helpful staff. The beds were very comfortable. The rooms needed some updating: a fresh coat of pain on the walls, maybe some new furniture. Everything seemed a little worn. The hotel is also right above a bar and close to several night clubs, which meant a lot of noise and light from the street at night.
This hotel was an excellent value for money one. I even got an upgrade without asking for it and don't even knowing why to a king-size room with hydro-massage bath tub. The staff was extremely helpful and willing to make one's stay pleasant and flawless. Even if some people in the reviews complain about the pub, I didn't hear anything from the second floor. Even more, the inside door linking the pub with the hotel was an advantage given the snow/rain during my stay. Complimentary breakfast was missed.
Great cocktails at the wine bar, staff was very helpful, location was great
Location is good. Bed was comfortable. Staff was good. I Would have given it a better rating except for: The room smelled like a 3 day old burnt cigarette. Smoking is not allowed now due to Canadian laws, but man can you tell there used to be 20 cigs a day smoked in my room. I'm an ex smoker of about 2 years, so my nose might be a little more sensitive then others. But my friends who ere staying on the floor above me said the same thing.
Love the history of the hotel, great staff and a great location. It may be an old hotel with some cool history, but it could still do with some cleaner finishes like some new carpet and a better paint job.
Comfortable bed, easy access to everything in downtown, very near the waterfront where the cruise ships dock. .
Great location to catch the hockey game at Rogers Area.
Wasn't in the room for very long...but overall it was fine. Not flashy...nothing stood out...but no complaints either. Good location. Bed was comfortable enough. Noise was not an issue. Felt safe and secure. Did not try any of the dining options location in the building...but they looked good from the outside. Value for what we paid was acceptable. Would recommend if you needed a place to stay for one night if you were attending a concert or event. Things that could be improved: Showerhead - unless you are 5 ft 2 inches....it was way to low in our room...should be placed higher. Another electrical outlet would have been nice
Location was good Hotel was generally clean Booked the "Double deluxe queen" only to find that there was only one bed and the "room type" was double. To me that is deceptive advertising and the manager made me pay an upgrade fee to get the room I thought I had booked. The elevator broke for two days while we were there The TV in our room didn't work I will not be returning and would recommend others not stay here.
Trendy decor simple comfy rooms Slow elevator
Good location. If you stay on the second floor just be prepared for really loud music coming from the restaurant/bar from downstairs until about 1:00 am.
Location Beds are uncomfortable
Ramada in Seattle much better value and comfort.
I liked having a space that had a separate bedroom, and a balcony. Housekeeping walked in without knocking, when my husband was on the toilet. We had the "do not disturb" sign out. Because of my health issues, I sleep in the day often. At 7am the next morning, they knocked and tried to get in. I flipped over the latch to stop them from entering. Next day, they tried to enter again before 8am.
It was convenient and met our requirements such as having a microwave. It was very noisy because of the proximity of nightclubs.
Very little...it was a dry roof over our heads for one evening is about all I can say. I did not like how noisy it was. We were kept up until way past 4am due to people yelling on the street below...please invest in soundproof windows!!! When I told the front staff how upset I was, they asked me what I expected?? Very poor customer service. We will never stay at this hotel ever again...
Location was good and staff was most helpful for our one night stay
The location was perfect with restaurants, shopping, and clubs just down the street. The rooms were huge and very clean. Only complaint is the noise from the construction happening behind the hotel but there are earplugs provided in every room, so this was minor.
Staff were friendly and helpful, room was clean and well maintained. I enjoyed my stay, could of done without the snowfall earlier in the day!
Great family room set-up if travelling with kids.
I like how easy it was to register and stay. Paying for parking as an additional cost is always a little back handed. It might be nice if they included parking as an option when making a reservation.
good value for money,location
Billing should be given during the night prior to departure. There is no need to spend time in the early morning waiting to be done. Staff are nice people.
I liked that the parking was underground in a secure environment. Guard and guard dog signs were posted at the entrance. I enjoyed my stay and the view of the city from my balcony was awesome. There was a lot of construction going on in front of the hotel and they started really early. Of course this is of no fault of the hotel.
Our room was very comfortable &the hotel location was ideal for getting around Vancouver. Meals in dining room were v expensive, especially breakfast & frankly I've had better hash browns at MacDonalds. We had a comparable breakfast at a similar hotel in Seattle that was 25% cheaper & and of better quality by far. I just hate to be taken advantage of in that way. The box of chocolates I received for staying didn't make up for poor food at an outrageous price - even if this is a luxury hotel.
The location is excellent. The service was first class. The restaurant 'Bacchus' was also excellent. I would definitely stay there again.
Friendly professional staff Delightful breakfast in the beautiful Bacchus lounge Spacious room with quality linens and L'Occitaine products Great value Excellent location
The room and the food. The hotel offered a free breakfast, but there was confusion with the on line booking. The offer system should be clarified. With other hotels offering a free breakfast i.e. Opus Hotel, the on line booking for the coupon was much simpler. The Hotel did honour the free breakfast.
excellent service with large rooms, and a very good location in the middle of the city rooms are bit old, but do have large flat screens TV
A truly great boutique hotel in an excellent downtown location. We usually prefer to dine out at night, but could not resist the lure of the wonderful atmosphere & superb food in house.I suspect all staff are highly trained in delivering excellent customer care & certainly they deliver it.The Wedgewood was a wonderful experience over the four nights we spent there. We would be cranks if we did !
Superb location, the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Elegant setting. The 2 of the restaurant staff could be a little on the snooty side!
Best hotel for service and ambiance in Vancouver nothing
Great bar and restaurant. friendly staff. very comfortable / luxurious rooms. windows are older not well insulated for sound. A bit noisy as it is downtown
Amazing staff, clean, beautiful room with deck. And the most comfortable beds and bedding.
Everything. From the most helpful and friendly staff, all of them, to the attention of waiters, bartenders, up to the Manager who stopped to chat while having breakfast. The room was large and well furnished. Not Applicable.
Comfortable room and quiet floor. Nice to come back to a lovely room after a day of exploring Vancouver.
The hotel was in excellent location, you can walk to many restaurants, museums, Auarium, the shore, etchowver the location comes with a price tag (expensive due to the world cup) and Parking cost way much per day. The staff were excellent.
friendly professional service, especailly in the lobby. great location bathroom no ventilation, inconvenient location of electricity plugs, no slippers
Comfortable bed and allowed us to check in early and out late. We received a room that looked like it had been added in as an afterthought. Bathroom was extremely cramped and the door did not close, and the view...well if you like looking out the window and seeing a green tarp, this is the room for you. On the positive side, if you need absolute dark at all times of day, it would be perfect.
Spent close to 20 minutes waiting in line on Thursday night for cab A cab was only available if someone was arriving in a cab, then you could grab it for yourself
I liked how comfortable the bed was. Had a great night sleep. Pool and gym were nice. We didn't plan our trip but the concierge Sabine was lovely and more than helpful when she gave us a map and told us what my husband and I might enjoy. Great location. Parking is about $40 and wifi was $25. I would suggest this hotel for business men looking for an extended stay. The room smelled a little musty but that is expected for an older hotel.
Staff was excellent. Very friendly and helpful. My room was clean, which was most important, but it really needed updating.
The service was impeccable from check in, to concierge, to bartender and wait staff. The lobby and public areas were beautiful as well. The room was large. The room was really run down. The carpet was old, buckling, and had stains all over and the furniture has seen its best days long ago.
The staff was fantastic. The location is fabulous and close to everything you would want to do in Vancouver City Center. The hotel is a beautiful building. Vancouver is a beautiful city and the Fairmount made it even better. Very little noise for being in the heart of the city. Wi-Fi fees are a huge joke, but not exclusive to this hotel. This should not be seen as a bad comment for this hotel. It is just another way hotels are trying to make more money. If you can, try and book your stay with Wi-Fi included and ask for a discount if one is available.
Very nice room, staff and facilities. Loved the pool and gym The directions to the hotel should be more specific. The main address of the hotel is on a street which does not have any valet or concierge presence. We had to go inside to figure out how to get to the main car entrance of the hotel. Also, the parking prices (50$ per day) should be mentioned upfront so that there are no surprises
I liked the location most of all! The beds were very comfortable. Loved the dog at the concierge's desk! Wonderful bath products! A bit tired looking. Needs a ceiling fan in the room! There were 4 of us staying in our room, but we NEVER had 4 towels! Each day, we had to call and ask for another towel.
The location Way overpriced compared to service and how old and outdated the rooms are. The bathtub was peeling, the hot water would go away in the sink, you had to constantly regulate it. They don't tell you ahead of time the cost of parking, which was almost $50.00 a day, otherwise I would have looked for an alternative, they just hit you with a bill dropped in front of your room door on the last day of your stay so you don't yell at them at checkout.
Beautiful place to stay in a great location. Great people and they helped me get a refund from orbits. The bed was not very comfortable - ended up with quite a bit of back pain afterwards. The pool needs some updates too.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Westin Grand. The executive deluxe suite was smaller than we expected, but it was nice. Chad and Nicola and Jessie were extremely helpful and friendly in the restaurant at breakfast. (We had coupons for breakfast, which was wonderful.) We really enjoyed eating a fancy breakfast, followed by cheap and tasty eats later in the day. (For example, Mongolian barbecue and Egyptian and Asian fast food are all within an easy walk of the hotel.) Overall, the hotel was great, but a little expensive. Even though we had internet and free breakfast, the price of the executive deluxe suite was high, given its size (relatively small).
Location Near Orpheam theatre!
The pool, hot tub and fitness area were fantastic. View from the room and location were also great. Checked into a dirty room, with stains and hair in the sheets. Had to pay for Wifi, for $400 a night
Comfort, cleanliness, fantastic night skyline views through floor-to-celing windows (we stayed on 27th floor), professional hotel staff, convenience of having a small kitchenette, excellent downtown location. Highly recommended!
Room was clean and the staff were friendly. Pool and pool deck were very small. Fitness center was adequate but nothing special.
Helpful Concierge team with reliable restaurant recommendations Would have liked more self catering facilities
We booked a suite with a separate living area and bedroom. The living area included a wet bar with microwave and dishware which we were not expecting. It was a nice surprise, so we got takeout Chinese and brought it back to the room for dinner and could eat it on real plates and with real silverware after reheating it in the microwave. The bed was super comfy, the staff very nice. Would certainly return there if coming back to Vancouver Only two elevators, one was being repaired the morning of our departure so there was a long wait to get down.
very pleasant suite with good facilities - eg large televisions in sitting room and bedroom, well designed 'kitchenette' for preparing drinks and snacks, extremely comfortable bed with masses of goosedown pillows, outdoor pool and hot tub with steamroom and excellant showers
Set in noisy area of Downtown Vancouver
Hotel had good parking. Convenient. Hotel room was not ready til very late post check-in. Suite was much smaller than depicted on the internet and in discussion with them. Room service at the pool-side was horrible.
We were first time visitors to Vancouver & Victoria, staying seven days. We wanted a hotel room suite, on Robson St., w/a kitchenette & a view. Westin Hotels are quality hotels, in the states, and at the time of our visit the Westin Grand Vancouver/Booking.com had a fantastic special rate, for a corner suite. We were very pleased w/the suite, the hotel, the staff & the services. Everything seemed just fine. One suggestion: Suites/rooms w/refrigerators: The refrigerators need to be a little bigger, to accomodate items guests might need to refrigerate, during their stay.
Location, accommodation & staff
The hotel itself was really nice. The bed was super comfy and it had little light switches on the side so you didn't have to get up to shut them off at night. The bathroom was huge, and the hotel had a sauna/pool open most hours of the day. Kayak booked us a room for three with one bedroom and a cott. The room name description was unclear and it really caught me off guard when I got there and the reception said "So, you'll be needing a cott?" without any prior knowledge from me. We just crammed all three people on the bed, which worked, but it was not at all what I thought was going to happen.
The hotel was wonderful. I very much enjoyed my stay. Staff was nice and very accommodating in getting our friends on the same floor.
The size of the hotel is large enough for basement auto parking and a full service restaurant ---but not overwheming. Rooms very clean and comfortable, free wi-fi, quiet. Very central location, a block awy from the Canada Line subwy to airport. Rates aren't bargain basement but reasonable. Nothing lacking for me.
Two minute walk to Sky Train and connection to airport. Good bar/restaurant. All for less than half of the Four Seasons across the street. Slow check in/out because of having only one staff at desk.
The staff were very accomodating. Went out of their way to assure we were taken care of - without even being asked. Friendly concierge and bell staff. Would definately stay here again.
Clean, great location, well sized rooms. Value for money Check in concierges could not appear more miserable if they tried. Multiple stays at this hotel and the same experience each time. I feel like a burden each time I check in
Overall just about excellent. Pool was being worked on. Had to use pool across at 4 seasons in 40 degree weather. Incredibly inconvenient
Comfort, Size of rooms, Location Limited parking
They are not cat friendly. The room we stayed in allowed our cat to run up into a crawl space including the ceiling and potentially the walls and ceilings of nearby rooms. This was a living nightmare, as she disappeared for close to ten minutes while hotel staff had no idea what to do. I'm sure the hotel is lovely if you don't have a cat, but if you do, avoid this hotel at all costs.
all you expect and more....Comfortable mattress, pillows, fabulously smooth & lush linens, and quiet! a nice surprise, in a hotel so conveniently located in the heart of downtown Vancouver!!
I enjoyed the attentiveness of the staff and found the hotel luxurious. I also had harbour front view which I recommend to everyone. The room was large, bed extremely comfortable. I really appreciated a separate outdoor, covered area with benches for smokers. I found that respectful for those who smoke.
Were were given the option to upgrade our room...at a cost of 40$ a night. Rooms were comfortable and overall enjoyed our stay. When booking the hotel we booked a deluxe queen room....however when checking in we were told we could only have a room with 2 singles as there were no other comparable rooms. We were given the option to upgrade. So adding an extra cost and the parking is also approx. 40 $ a night!
Very convenient to all parts of the city and staff was very helpful. Nothing
the location The hotel was very noisy i could hear the people next door through the wall We could hear doors slamming maid woke us up to clean the room
The location was great, room was clean and modern. The first morning we were woken up to the cleaners trying to get in our room multiple times with the key, it wasnt even 9am, (we were moving to another room the second night so we had to be out of there not until 11, we had two reservations for the two nights due to a free night and both nights were not booked in same room) the second morning, again, woken up around 8 to someone saying they were there for our bags, wrong room
The staff was nice. Way overpriced for the room and ammenities.
Good central location, convenient for exploring Vancouver
I had a big room, intended for up to four people, and it would certainly have been big enough for 4. Location was ok, though a bit at the edge of the action in downtown. Wifi reception was good. A good coffee shop is just across the street, which serves good breakfast as a cheaper alternative to the hotel itself. Room was pretty low (about 2.10m), I've never seen a hotelroom this low. As I'm 2m tall it is something I really notice and it was not comfortable for me, but I could live with it. The street just outside the window is pretty noisy, even at night. I stayed on the second floor, and you have to go up and then down a bit again to get there, which is kind of odd; my impression is that his floor was added later and not all of the hotel is like this room. The airco is fairly noisy, too, but I managed to sleep through it. The room smelled somewhat stale. Still, it's not like I had a bad time, not at all, but I wasn't there for the hotel.
the location of the hotel was great, close to shopping, buses and restaurants the room size
the rooms were clean and the staff was friendly When I walked into the room, some of the lights were unplugged, so I could not turn them on.
It was situated in the center of the city and a close walk to many shops, restaurants and bars.
