We arrived at the Hotel at about 1130am and was blown away by the beautiful interior of the Hotel. Very nice touch on the welcome drinks and towels. We had to wait for our rooms since we arrived before the check in time which we totally understood since we are working in the Hotel industry ourselves and I am also with the Front Office (afom of the Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore). We went to 1 of the f&b outlet and had a great brunch at the restaurant. To our very pleasant surprise, both our rooms were upgraded to the new wing (Suite rooms)! We were taken aback by the generosity and kind treatment by John, the gm, who met and welcome us while we were doing registration. All staff that we encountered were excellent; friendly and helpful. Nothing...everything was great! :-)
The customer service and the response from the hotel staff were good. There's room for improvement when comes to the breakfast choices. Not much variety. And not suitable for friends as there's no twin bedded rooms available. The deluxe room is rather cramp and noisy with rooster and construction working outside.
Location. I liked the bigger of the two swimming pools although maintenance of pool area (as with everywhere else) very poor. However the pool was very clean. Shabby and overpriced. Poorly maintained and managed. As the photos on your website show it could be absolutely stunning but at the moment it is definitely not. Staff friendly but seem to accept low standards and total disinterest. We never received a reply to our email asking for twin beds when we booked through you; nor when I sent them an email driectly subsequently. When the extra bed was provided on our arrvial it was filthy and was very uncomfortable. And this was not a cheap hotel: E.G. it was far worse than the extremely nice hotel we had stayed in Chiang Mai which was half the price.
Very nice staff, clean rooms with the extra touch. Good location to the beach (with complementary chairs and towels). We believe the bars and restaurant are overpriced. Yes, the food is good - but there are numerous good places within walking distance with a significantly lower price tag. Also, the office has been neatly 'disguised' to such an extent that personnel in the office can not see the reception area and you often have to wait until someone else from the staff notices you and notifies the manager in charge.
Beautiful for a spa/relax not really for families with small children. The breakdown of the hotel said that there was an Airport Shuttle from the Airport but this was chargeable and we had to pay for a taxi!
a beautiful presentation / relaxed atmosphere with a personal touch. Fabulous beaches / everyone friendly
The welcome at the reception with a refreshment. Stylishly decorated. Rooms a bit small.Staff insisted too much on proposing a cabaret show in Patong beach.
This hotel is magnificient, the hotel staff is really kind and helpfull, one of the best place I've ever seen in Thaïland. I hope to come back there soon... My stay was to short
The tranquility, the private beach, the positive and fair staff The deluxe room is a bit too small, and the light come in in the morning through the "bathroom-windows".
The private beach at Surin was excellent + staff of the hotel available for any assistance always A lot of stairs especially when I have to manage my daughter and baby troleys
The place is fantastic...Location is very good... I recommend this very much to couples who want to be in an amazing location in the quiet...and yet 20 min away in a taxi from the live music and crazy life of night life Loved everything
It's proximity to the beach is fantastic and the breakfast was quite nice too!The staff were courteous and friendly. The hotel is very dated..We have stayed at other hotels on Surin beach for the same money and the standards were a lot higher. It was not what I expected of a Chedi group hotel..or what I would expect of a hotel of that price in Thailand.Thankfully as it was low season we were upgraded to a superior cottage but had we remained in the hillside cottage I think we would have been aswell off to have stayed in The Twin Palms or The Manathai as the proximity to the beach would have been the same. The hillside cottages are litterally that...cottages on a hill set back from the beach, reception and all the facilities.
The staff were extremely friendly & helpful and most spoke english very well, which made life easier. Upon arrival we were upgraded to a Deluxe Villa closer to the beach at no extra cost. Every evening the bed was turned down & homemade cookies left in the villa for you. The most amazing thing was on the day we checked out. (Check out was 12pm & our flight was at 6.30pm.) The staff securely stored our bags, arranged transport to Patong for some last minute shopping and then offered us the use of an unoccupied villa for a shower to freshen up before our departure (which was a godsend, considering how hot we were after shopping). No resort in Australia would ever offer you that kind of service (no matter what star-rating they were). My husband did complain alot about the extensive number of stairs we had to climb between our Deluxe Villa and the restaurants, pool, beach, etc. So I had to keep reminding him that the villas were set into the hillside for the fabulous view. Even though the food in the hotel's restaurants was wonderful, it was alot more expensive than other places that we'd been in Phuket.
The beach was beautiful and tranquil. The resort was very quiet. The bungalows were situated on a steep hill. You had to climb high stairs to get anywhere in the hotell or your room. Not what you want to do in really hot weather with children.Did not like the poolarea. The hotel was a bit run down. Not worth the money!
The beach was the best part of this resort. Our room was directly on the ocean, and private pool was wonderful (tho it was never really clear). Our pool wasn't working properly the entire time we were there. There was construction above our cottage room, and it was difficult to use the outdoor shower without getting looked upon.
Nice hotel, good facilities, although didnt know it all activities for kids would be run in Scandinavian!!! There is a nice restaurant just outside front gate called The Sugar Cane, great Thai food and kids menu, recommend you eat there at least one night. Also in hotel Fino was very nice restaurant. The La Tasca buffet was OK, but nicer to eat local stuff outside hotel and much cheaper, unless you are all inc. Nothing in way of English activities for kids, which they were looking forward to.
Very family friendly, with excellent facilities for children. The location directly on the beach makes in very convenient to switch between pool and beach.
A bit old :) The slope of the main entrance's a little bit danger ! Anyway we liked this hotel:)
Beautiful spot with wonderful view of sea! Great place to get away for some days, but not well located for touring, shopping, etc. Restaurant is good and the staff are so pleasant and helpful!
proximity to the Bang Rong pier as we were headed out for Koh Yao island the next day. lack of halal food. quite isolated so to walk to other restaurants would take ages
the seaview was beautiful and the landscape was ideal for quiet vacancy I don't have any complaints and if i have the staff resolved it
Peaceful Location away from patong beach and Staff were a bit slow and hard to find at times
