excellent location, historic building, famous restaurant, friendly staff, comfortable rooms wireless internet is free but very weak and mostly no coverage along the hotel, even at the lobby; too expensive (because of an event at the city); breakfast not included
Son derece merkezi, güvenli, rahat ve kabul edilir düzeyde temiz banyolar çok kötü, mutlaka iyileştirilmeli...oda içindeki herşey rahatsız edecek şekilde eski ( halılar vs ), yenilenmeli...odalarda minibar bile yok ama extralar için kredi kartı bilgilerinizi istiyorlar?
Service is efficient and friendly. The rooms, while running on the tight side, has a number of amenities: plenty of power outlets, fridge, safe, water kettle, large closet. The location is fantastic - about 12 minute walk from Centraal Station, on a large main road; easy to navigate with a map. The area is very walkable to many attractions: Anne Frank's House, tulip market, various museums and breweries. Overall, a great hotel for light travelers. The rooms are very tiny - I can see travelers with a lot of luggage having a hard time with the stairs, which are steep and narrow passages, and room sizes. For a two single bed room, the beds are very close to each other, and the space for actual walking and milling about it is tight.
Very pleasant staff, great cat and lovely location. No tea or coffee making facilities in room
Cosy and peaceful, friendly and very helpful people. Felt like I was in a little country cottage. Room was overpriced for its size.
Staff very friendly. This Hotel was very quiet and safe. It was very close to Dam Square, but still away from the high trafic area! We had a double room without bathroom. The communal shower wasn't my favorite. It was essentially a closet with a shower stall in it. Took a bit of getting used to...but it served the purpose!!!
The staff was sincerely friendly, curteous and very helpful in finding local restaurants and shops. Hotel Hegra felt like a Bed & Breakfast. The hotel rents bikes which are in excellent condition and the rate was very reasonable. Accomodations were simple, but very clean and well maintained. The stairs to the rooms were steep and narrow but with smaller luggage, it was not a huge obstacle. Our room had a spectacular view of the Herengracht (canal). Hotel Hegra is in a quiet, scenic neighborhood, and still within a few minutes walk from almost everything Amsterdam has to offer. Its located in the "9-Streets" area which offers tons of boutique shops and restaurants, and is 2 easy blocks from a tram to Centraal Station.
Location, clean Really, really small rooms
It is run by a family and they are very warm and friendly. It is conveniently located very close to Amsterdam CS & DAM Square
All good, Polite, clean and great location...I Will be back soon Everything was ok and no complaints at all
The staff of the Hotel was extremely kind and helpful, also in its advices for restaurants and city visit. Very nice and convenient position.
Lovely, charming hotel with very helpful and friendly staff, excellent location. I had a nice and clean room on the second floor, fully equiped, overlooking the gardens. The bed was more comfortable than I have at home :) It is a special feeling to discover how it is living along an Amsterdam canal, as you have your own entrance next to the reception. I will definetely return to 't Hotel!
The location, the real Amsterdam feeling. The breakfast starts late, on Sunday - 8.30. Quite uncomfortable for a hotel.
staff were friendly, breakfast was simple but surprisingly good and delivered to the room, all things were simple but clean and comfortable and that was what we asked for :) kinda had a home feeling.
staff friendly and welcoming and the location was excellent. breakfast in bed was lovely.
Location and breakfast was good Stairs on the hotel were very difficult to climb with a suitcase and the room was very small.
excellent location helpful staff too warm in the room - no A/C
The staff is excellent and extremely helpful. Especially the young man who prepared our breakfast the night before due to an early flight. The bed was a bit uncomfortable.
The staff and the rooms nothing
The staff was professional and helpful. There was a friendly cat walking around the hotel It would have been great to have a private toilet in the room, but the shared toilet was clean all right
Good location. Very steep and narrow stairs. Despite website saying check in from 12 noon, we were informed on arrival at 2pm that there'd be a 30-45 minute wait until our rooms were ready. Wished to pay by credit card but staff asked us go out and get cash, said that wasn't possible so they reluctantly agreed to accept cards. Another guest's room had been cancelled and, despite the sign on the door saying they still had vacancies, they put a spare bed in my already tiny single room, removed the fridge. In spite of this, the full amount was still charged. Toilets only had cold water, not very hygenic, plus very grubby hand towels. Lots of noise in the night from residents plus the hotel's cat. Would not stay there again.
Small inexpensive pleasant hotel with a convenient arrangement in the pedestrian availability from all pleasures of this city. The unostentatious personnel, modest, but a quite good breakfast in a room, relative silence - all it makes impression that you have come there where always wait for you Probably, upstairs high and abrupt, but it is Amsterdam, anywhere you will not get to
The location was great! The room is so small (I stay in a single room). I don't even have any space to sit and eat my breakfest.
Friendly staff, Hassle free.
location was good,it was very clean and did its job. needed more suger in room for the hot drinks.
Location was good. Tower bells ringing all night. Steep stairs. Shared bathroom/shower. Small room. Uncomfortable bed
smoking room, near dam square
Great location, very good conditions, cosy room, nice guy at the reception when I checked in, very helpful and professional, and even speaking Polish wich was quite nice The only bad point was the girl in the reception when I was checking out. She tried to serve two guestes at one time and talked on the phone with sb asking for reservation, thereby none of the persons she served was satisfied. In the end she forgot to take from me the the door key card and was totally lost. Too expensive breakfast
Bed and Breakfast have been great!
west violet is well situated and also paceful. if i had the chance to go back to amsterdam i'd surely return to this hotel
Central location, proximity to other facilities, quiet.
high level of hospitality; location is excellent; the principal's tips for restaurants, points of interest, etc. are great!
I can really recommend this place.Very good location in the city with cosy restarurants nearby and Frank take care of you in a nice way. We had a large room with a balcony to the backyard, where we could sit and take a cup of coffe or tea. The "guests kitchen" was at the same floor as our room and there we made our own breakfast at the time we liked. This was really good. In the kitchen was also a computer you can use.
The self-serve Breakfast was great. The location was central but still quiet which allowed us to easily walk to areas of interest but still get a good night's rest. The lighting in the room was a bit dim during the rainy weather, but would have been very cozy on sunny days. I did receive some unknown bug bites, possibly that have entered from the unscreened window.
Nice location on quieter side street, in close, but lesser trafficed area. Staircase may be steep for some. Black simulated leather upholstery
It feels like being at home, while being away. The staff (the owner) is very helpful and you get practically individual attention from him. Whenever you need anything, he is there. It is also sweet to have access to the kitchen at all hours of the day and night. Rooms are also kept in top shape. Bed very comfortable.
The location (no tourists) and freedom of staying in a smaller place felt like a home away from home
Room: excellent, Bed: excellent, 24/7 kitchen use: excellent, Wifi: excellent, Design: excellent, Staff: the most helpful and friendly :)
The design and the location of the room was excellent. A good chance to spend time in Amsterdam not like a tourist, but like a local. The staff is very friendly, I got a message from them with a detailed information on how to get to the guesthouse, paying options a.s.o. just as soon as I booked a room. The guesthouse has great value for money. Well, they change towels once in three days. That didn't bother me actually, but I suppose there're people who could find it unacceptable. Also you have to pay cash (10% creditcard surcharge), but the staff told me about this in the very first mail. Everything else was fine. Some people might say a TV is kind of small or something else, but believe me, you get just what you pay for, no more, no less.
The location was a student flat 2 mn walk from central station, in a nice area. Ideal for visiting the city. The flat was confortable and well equipped. You have to pay by cash or be charged 10% if you use credit card. Please mention this on the site.
The hotel room is not a hotel room at all, it is a flat - rather nice and cousy. Hotel staff first said that we can pay when check-out, bit one hour later he wanted money ASAP! He was not polite and didn't try to solve any problem.
Nice location. Walk distance from city centre.Quiet neighbourhout.Litle shops off centre around.
the room was very nice, and it was big and clean.
The only thing I like about it was it's location and the big space of the room The furniture was very old and dirty. The bed was very noisy, with no sheet on it! No towel supply during the 4 nights.
the location, the peace and quiet near the city centre, the baker shop opposite and other shops and houses and people in Jordan Do not expect too much, hotels in Amsterdam are over-rated
The room was very clean and conveniently located. I will reserve again on my next trip to Amsterdam.
After finally being able to check in, we enjoyed our room. Good location to restaurants and the Amsterdam train station. the rooms for the hotel were not located at the address of the check in office. After walking all the way from the train station to the office with our luggage, we had to go almost 3 blocks back to towards the train station to go to the house where our room was located. Also we tried checking it at 2:30 PM which was after the normal check in time and our room was not ready until 4PM.
I was surprised to find the hotel room was infact an apartment complete with livingroom and kitchen. Considering that, the value for money wasn't too bad. The appartment was spacious and well equiped. I could have happily stayed there for a few weeks. Had to phone the hotel to get someone for check-in. He arrived within a few minutes though so not a major problem. Just a bit unexpected.
