This is a quiet and beautiful property in the middle of the hustle and the bustle of the Wisconsin Dells vacation metroplex. 1] Black mold growing inside of the toilet tank made our bathroom smell funky! 2] Noise from the loud television in the next room woke us up several times during the night. We had asked for a quiet room at check in.
Lovely hotel, great staff, comfortable clean rooms. I was very pleased! Thank you! Nothing
When I checked in the woman was there for her last day at work there. She was extremely nice and you wouldn't know it was her last day. Place was a bit dated but I was told they are renovating and updating the hotel. It was worn but my room was comfortable and clean. I would revisit absolutely.
The upgrades to the lobby Old outdated rooms
Room was clean, facilities were nice, and staff was friendly. Room was significantly overpriced (low value). Reservations booked online via other (non-Hilton) siites are given the least desirable room locations. Fire alarms went off twice at 2:00 a.m., received several prank calls throughout stay, and someone with a card key attempted to open our door at 6:00 a.m.
The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable, got a good night's sleep. We will stay there again. Bathroom was a little too small
Clean and Quiet (off season) Plenty to do close by and at the hotel Nothing-great stay!
The staff was friendly, the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable, and the room was very clean and nice looking. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and comfort of our stay.
Suite was roomy and very clean. Hot tub for adults while children play on waterslides was nice. Pizza places close by for late night snacks. Will stay there in the future.
Location off highway is convenient, and staff was friendly. We stayed for the low room rate, but quickly found out why when we arrived. This is not a 3 star Dells resort; more of a 1 or 2 star budget/value hotel. The resort is old and outdated with subpar facilities and amenities. Our room was dirty/grimy (e.g., popcorn pieces still on the floor from a previous guest), and was not stocked with bath towels, hand towels, and wash cloths. This is not a 3 star Dells resort.
recent renovations or renovations in progress. Common areas clean and new carpet in room and common areas. New curtains. descent breakfast included. appeared to comply with health codes for food. my room had a lot of black mold in bathroom behind toilet. Toilet chain would not stay on when flushed. hotel was filled, no room available to move to. Did not spend much time in room so it was more an annoyance.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Free Noah's Ark tickets with stay made us very happy. Good breakfast selection. The ceiling in our room/bathroom had water damage and was cracked. Beds not very comfortable. The water in the shower never got hot. Pool area very sub par... with a little TCL could be a nice place to stay.
The price (inexpensive for holiday weekend) Location was very good (close to attractions, restaurants) Staff was not welcoming. One even stated to another, "they don't pay me enough for this." Lobby restroom very nasty Hall carpet stained Food left on carpet floor not removed the entire time of stay Bed very uncomfortable Room very outdated Would only stay at the hotel again if it was the last resort as I did not feel safe nor comfortable.
The rooms were nice, comfortable and had a lot of nice add ons like microwave and fridge. The pool area was disgusting. My brother and his friend swam in the pool it was so cloudy they couldn't see their feet! There was a hole in the ceiling leaking between the hot tub and pool. The walls were cracking and caving in on some parts. Not very "quality" I think. After getting out they found a large hair clump floating in pool, DISGUSTING! They should not have guests swimming in that area I do not think it was up to code!
Best about this hotel was the cost Not enough staff room was dirty
The location was fine. Last year I was content with accommodations. However this year, it was more than disappointing. I reserved 3 rooms. Two had mold and mildew in the bathrooms, dead bugs, and stains on the walls. Continental breakfast is a joke.

Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Smallest bathroom I've seen in any hotel. Breakfast very limited

Friendly management, great clean hotel for a great price! location great as well. Second time staying and will be staying here moving forward.
The location was awesome. The bed wasn't comfortable. The ceiling or the floor of the room above ours was creeky enough that we heard every step they took. And our room door had a gap at the bottom that allowed a fair amount noise from the hallway. Didn't feel very private.
location. easy access on and off the expressway. nice clean and other then an exfoliating bath towel (rough) the rooms pillows and beds were nice. the front desk receptionists were rude, dismissive and not helpful with problems. the evening guy was nice and smiley and more then willing to bring us coffee. at check in and out we were greated coldly and our problem with windham points was not resoved
Very clean, great location!
Great option to have a suite. Worked well for 5 adults in one room. Bed (namely the King bed) was very uncomfortable.
The pool was warm, our room was clean, and the manager though visibly stressed and busy was nothing but pleasant. There were no bags in the trash cans which seemed strange and the room was a bit cramped.
This hotel was very disorganized and unclean. The first room we were given was not even cleaned. The second room that we were given had stains all over the sheets and pillow cases.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The pool was nice if a bit cold. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The free wifi and coupons were a big plus. Unfortunately, the free breakfast options left much to be desired and ran so early in the morning that I didn't bother. The rooms had no hair dryers which was a concern for my roommate. We had some issues that required maintainance but they had none on site. Probably the worst part was the hideous odor in the upstairs hallways and in the elevator.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. There really wasn't anything that disappointed me.
The beds were the most comfortable I have had in a motel room in a long time! The doughnut holes seemed old.
The location was good. I did not like the holes and non paint from the remodeling. My tub had mold on the jets. The handle for the shower was broke. The bed felt and sounded like a bag of plastic bottles. The pool was freezing.
We love this hotel in the summer! We get free passes to Chula Vista for the entire stay and that indoor and outdoor Waterpark is excellent for children of all ages! We love the wonderful breakfast too! The kitchen area was very well maintained while we stayed and everyone seemed happy! Lisa, the front desk staff member couldn't have been more professional and friendly; she truly displayed the fact that she wanted us to be happy and willingly went the extra mile-thank you! Our room was perfectly clean and we enjoyed a beverage from the bar, free popcorn and an awesome evening in the pool/sauna and jacuzzi! This is our second summer we have stayed here and we will be back next summer!
There was peace and quiet as the resort is secluded and units are far apart. Te grounds are well maintained. Yes, there are a few strong house keeping rules that I became over-anxious about keeping tabs of kitchen utensils and bathroom supplies. Please ligten up. I'm sure your guests are decent people who'd never take anything not belonging to them.
The cabin was very clean and the staff was nice. I liked the 3 seasons room and the fact that we had 2 bathrooms was nice since we had a group that needed to quickly come back after golf, shower, and then go eat. A 4:00 PM check in seems very late for the rate we paid. I think 2:00 would be reasonable. The room I booked said it could hold 8 people and had 3 bedrooms but there were only 2 bedrooms and only 2 beds total so some guys had to sleep on the floor.
Great rooms, spacious, comfortable. There was a leak from the ceiling during a rain storm. We called and they said it always happens and not to worry about it. Hmm....
The check in process is fast, facility is well maintained. Room is clean. Location of the room is far. Need to drive to access water park. The Remote in the room doesn't work. most importantly, one of the bed in the room, the mattress was extremely uncomfortable. I later found out that the mattress was put on "backwards". The pillow top was facing down? And my son and I was sleeping on the "bottom". He seems ok with it, but I didn't get a good night sleep at all. I even got headache and backache next morning. The clean staff should check everything when getting the room ready for next guest.
It was a great experience. I really liked how all the water parks were connected together. As great as it was, I feel it was a bit over priced.
Kids had fun at waterpark and Arcade. Not super crowded for a holiday weekend. Hotel is showing some wear. Had to wait twice at front desk despite no line. Also same in Arcade. It was like the staff didn't want to step up and help.
Loved all the different water activities for my 2 yr old. Thanks.
The rooms were clean, spacious and updated. The waterpark was amazing and had several areas for my 3 and 2 year olds to have a great time. Higher priced but well worth it for our family! I couldn't believe they didn't have affordable breakfast options, a buffet would have to be worth the effort...
family loved the water park and the room was very comfortable. All the employees we came in contact with were awesome. Walking down a hall they would say hi and ask if there was anything they could help us with. We will return for another vacation.
Great Wolf Lodge was a great family friendly hotel. My two year old daughter loved it!! Nothing really, maybe no sink in the bathroom but I'm being really picky.
Staff was very friendly & helpful. Nice décor throughout the building. Fun family time!
Good fun at the water park with the grand kids. Accommodations were average.
Grounds were nice layout was nice Mold in tub, in door and blood on bathroom walls. Then found drain was dirty with hair I don't think bathroom was ever cleaned
I loved how friendly the staff was. They really made us feel welcome. Also loved how the water park was not near our room so we did not smell chlorine the entire time.
The water park was great! Nice balcony with the room. Friendly staff. Would have liked a bar of soap or 2 as opposed to a wall container with shower gel in it.
Clean and organized. The indoor water park was too small and not enough tables for families to sit. We were lucky that the place was not busy, otherwise, it would have been very difficult for the kids to play and have a good time.
We ended up staying in the golf villa which at first was a little bit of a bummer being that we were unable to use the underground tunnel to get to the indoor water park. But after getting to our room it didn't even matter anymore because of how nice our room was. Our room was pretty secluded and not much traffic at all and we had a hot tub host outside our door. Inside we had a full kitchen and dishes TV with lots of channels and we even had Wi-Fi. The other thing that helped us forget about the underground tunnel was that all we had to do was dial "0" and there was a shuttle on the way to pick us up and take us anywhere in the resort. The food was great, from breakfast at kbg to room delivered pizza. The water park was a blast as well, and it was fun to sit at the bar. Over all it was a great trip and a much needed vacation. There is only a couple things that bummed me out and I couldn't get over. The biggest thing was that the indoor water park had no hot tub. When we first got In there we looked all over for one. The other thing I was really hoping for the indoor to be bigger, but then again they had enough activities that I eventually forgot about that.
The villas, away from the screaming little ones. The father's day golf special. We like that it is removed from the downtown dells and not near any expressway and the extra noise. The water park is nice, but the outside park is hard to navigate, takes much too long to get to now that the outside entrance is permanently closed. Was never aware of the wave pool in the back of the resort until we stumbled across it on a walk. Would nice to have known it was there. The various "Starbucks" coffee are not actually that and will not take a Starbucks card. Disappointment and over priced. Was double charged a "resort fee" whatever that is and needed to argue that with a manager to have at least one removed. At $225 per night seems audacious to charge any additional fee. The was an exposed tack in one of the tall chairs in the room. Various nails coming loose on the steps to one of the slide platforms. Not enough staff to man all the slides sufficiently. Not all of them spoke clear english.
Changing area in the bathroom could be bigger and maybe add more private type booths to change in with guest who have smaller children
The indoor waterpark was a lot of fun. Slides were very fun and the Flyin Mayan was a great boat ride. Go to the indoor waterpark in the morning to avoid lines. Arcade was fun as well, a little small but my son had a lot of fun there. The general decor was very well done. Riverwalk is very nice touch. The outdoor waterpark is fun, but small compared to competitors I believe and thought it would have been bigger. Definitly they would need to upgrade the outdoor park. Room smelled like old wet clothes and cleaning crew did not vacuum the room (this was obvious). Bed comforters not very comfortable. Air conditioners are loud, you can hear air conditioners from the room above you as well. The fan in the bathroom is very loud and you cannot shut it off so if you want to turn on the light in the bathroom before sleeping, prepare for some noise. Phone system is confusing, had buttons for all the areas (waterpark, front desk, retaurant, etc), but they don't work so have to call 0 to get operator to direct your calls. I ask staff when is the fireworks for 4th of July, where should we go. The cleaning staff don't know some of these little things and always have to go to the front desk or call 0 on the phone. I think for a "resort" there should be a program to ensure all staff knows about the activities going on. We also did mini golf, and it would have been perfect, but they didn't have any fountains turned on so you see a lot of mossy covered puddles and for me if I shell out about 7 dollars for mini golf, part of the experience is the fountains being on. No soap or shampoo in the waterpark either. Wave pool is very small and not what I would expect from a wavepool and it is far away from the outdoor waterpark.
The waterparks and activities were great for the kids. There was a wide variety of things to do that kept the boys bouncing from here to there. The parks were entertaining. The wave pool was definitely more for my younger son as opposed to my older one though. The Chophouse was magnificent! We left a note for housekeeping asking for a light bulb to be changed and a slow draining sink be fixed but it wasn't done. The carpet in our room was filthy; white socks turned black and it didn't come out in the wash. I was also disappointed by the amount of rust in the indoor waterpark and the floors of the pools was also in disrepair. Disappointed by the lack of upkeep and presentation. I was also surprised that there was only one gift shop.
The room itself was nice and moderately upscale/clean. The pool was nice too. Excellent access to downtown. The staff seemed totally disinterested, no elevator, lobby and hallways were extremely disorganized. There was electrical work when i went, so the only access to my room was through the side door.
It was Clean and the Breakfast was Nice No Hot Tub
Breakfast included was only bright spot We switched a few rooms because of the terrible smell. All rooms smelled like a wet old smelly sneaker. Bed hurt my back. Extremely over priced for what they have. We tried finding another hotel because of the baymont gross facilities but every other place was booked in the dell's because of events. This was one of the only hotels left with vacancies, which says something. We only stayed there because we had too. Would never go back again and would never recommend.
Comfortable convenient facility and cheerful staff. Close to where i needed to be and to the majority of attractions in the area. Shower wall mount is not attached properly and the mount easily comes out of the wall. Because the mount is loose the shower head is not positioned properly.
Staff, continental breakfast, room, tv Hot tub wasn't working
Very comfortable and clean Breakfast should start at 6am.
* big rooms and clean * nice furnishings for the price * charming and nicely painted exterior * friendly owner was nice to deal with and asked us if we wanted housekeeping for the day * mostly quiet and pleasant setting: it was nice to get off the beaten track in the busy tourist area of the Wisconsin Dells * parts of property are poorly maintained: water from the roof and sloped balcony pooled on the second-floor landing. The owner claimed it was from the pool (100 yards away, obviously not true). It wasn't nice walking through soaked floor mats to and from our room. Either fix it or put people in a different room next time, please. * box elder bugs on the exterior and a few in the interior (granted, autumn is a bad time of year for that in the Midwest) * oddly shaped parking lot... it was tough to park even a small vehicle like ours * not a 24-hour front desk as advertised: the office was locked at 8 a.m. when I tried to check out... a poor and lasting final impression, unfortunately
Being woken up at 1:45 AM by a fighting couple and then at 2 AM the next fighting couple directly above stomped around in a 15x15 room like they were on crack and couldn't control themselves. This went on until 4:30 AM and by that time we gave up. Also no phone in room to call the office.
The River Road is a clean comfortable hotel with nice beds nice towels and nice Decor ....I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone Nothing
I liked the clean bathroom and how cheap the motel was considering the time of year we went (summer). They also threw in passes to the Chula Vista resort and had a great discount for Mt. Olympus. Close to downtown as well. We had some obnoxious neighbors that got incredibly drunk at 3am and tried to break into our room from a connecting doorway in the room. Paper thin walls made it so you could hear everyone! I'd only recommend staying here if saving money is an absolute neccesity.
Low priced Could have been cleaner. Air system in rooms didn't work. Building was very cold. No fridge or microwave in rooms.
Needed a place on short notice. Clean, friendly enough staff, decent breakfast. Basic accommodations for the price.
I liked the comfort of the beds. I did not like the holes in the wall, the absence of a mini refrigerator/microwave, and the noise. The people above us walked around and we heard every step. The breakfast was also lacking...
Nothing I had to pay twice for this room because the people running it didnt speak english.....
The front evening staff was very professional and helpful! My 15 year old and arrived around 3:00pm and the young woman who checked us in was very helpful with local attractions and the motel itself. I'm overall pretty picky with where I sleep, but this was a last minute trip and I was happy with our stay. Great free pass to the local waterpark too.
A decent super 8 off interstate. The motel was clean throughout, my room was a bit smaller than usual but I didn't realize at first that it was a handicap room, most noticeable is that the hangers are positioned very low, when hanging my shirts, they almost touched the floor, not a problem but not what I expected. The bathroom was larger than normal, again because this was a handicap unit. The shower was very good, water pressure excellent. The breakfast was very plain, cereal, toast and waffle maker, but again this is probably normal for super 8. The girl at the front desk needs to have a lesson in guest relations however. When I went to check out, the desk clerk's attitude was very unprofessional, she didn't smile at all, acted as though she didn't want to be there. For a young women working the front desk in the morning she should have had a more professional attitude. Maybe she just wasn't trained properly by the owner. I used to work the front desk at a hotel years ago and was taught how to be courteous and polite to guests at all times. Maybe she'll learn over time.
Room had peeling wall paper.n looks like they were repairing though
