Clean, comfortable, nice hotel with good value for money. Even though the location was pretty good the neighberhood was not that nice in the evenings, especially not for woman. Sundays especially everything nearby closed down early, and the only people youl could see in the streets was men.
location Not much tourism information available in hotel
The room is quite big, there was a kettle, a lot of TV channels Even though the hotel is close to the city center and vieux port, the streets around look rough especially at night (but nothing happend)
Good location (close to Old Port, Metro, train station) if you don't have a car and/or come by train. However, if you have a car and/or you don't need/want to stay close to the center of the city you might want to chose another location - if you are there for the beaches, Cassis or La Ciotat would be better locations than Marseilles. Work was getting done in the hotel, possibly to refurbish the rooms - they seriously need that. The noise vas very annoying - started early in the morning so you couldn't sleep late if you wanted to. Also the price was kinda steep for the quality offered, even considering I made the reservation on rather short notice.
Good location. We had lovely views over the Vieux Port Decor a little dated now
Very friendly staff, great breakfast, very nice lobby and very well located, not far from the train station and close to the old city.
Nice reception. Marble floors & nice decor. Rooms were nowhere near this standard. Unsafe dingy location, the worst was dingy rooms not 3* standard. Advised hotel was fully booked when I requested to change to better room.
very very very very very very very very very very very very very very nice!!!!!
Only location and nothing! Hotel staff is false. Room ia dirty. Fleas is jumping. Curtains in holes. The Internet is very weak. Conditioners don't work in room. The pastel linen changes once a week. A breakfast poor.
Location 3 blocks to Old Town waterfront. Friendly front desk staff. Good breakfast offering. There were notes appologizing that the hotel was under renovation. A property should not let their room carpets reach the level of wear we experienced. Hotel is definately a Taxi trip to and from the train station.
Location. Great room with view overlooking harbour but with really effective soundproofing. Large, firm bed. Nothing.
Efficient, friendly staff Quiet room Fabulous food (room service and breakfast) Bar and breakfast room views Everything we needed including WiFi Had to leave
They upgraded us from a city to a harbour view room - really impressive vista and absolutely worthy the extra rate if you are booking. The hotel has retained its original character and we were surprised on the up-side. All was fine
The concierge was very helpful in helping us find a good 'bouillabaisse' restaurant and making the reservation. Nice and pro
The location was fantastic. Easy to walk around the port and surrounding area. Lot of choice of restaurants nearby Cost of wi-fi access. In 2008 this really should be free in a good hotel.
Location, excellent room, nice bar area
Good hotel. Very clean. Just in the center of Marseille city. Beautiful view of the Vieux Port.
Desk staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Room was small but very beautiful. Highly recommend this location.
The location, just next to the Vieux Port, is really amazing. The room was extremely small for the price we paid, without any kind of view (does "courtyard view" means facing a wall and no light at all????) and not very comfortable. Moreover, the staff was quite unfriendly.
The location was great. Easy access to everywhere and the staff were very helpful.
Very helpful and welcoming staff. Good location of hotel - right in the old port and beside the metro station.
Location, price Tired decor, musty, air con not very efficient
Excellant location Very poor decor, carpets etc
Great location! Right next to the Harbour, opposite the tourist information, real close to metro and bus stops. Free wifi worked well. Bright and clean, bathroom spotless, showerhats provided. More expensive "superior room" was still ridiculously tiny (just enough space for double bed) and so were bathroom and bathtub. Check-in assistant hadn't read through my booking because asked for payment of breakfast although I booked all inclusive and wanted to give my girlfriend and me (female) a room with twin beds altho I had specifically asked for one big bed. Homophobes. Breakfast lady almost denied access to 4 people who arrived at 10h03 and 10h08 instead of 10 sharp - no sense of service whatsoever! After complaint, I was even told that if the buffet is until 10, you do not arrive at, say, 9h50 but before. I wonder: Why not?? 10 is still early for a holiday breakfast. Buffet was ok but not worth 10euros. Try café "a Cup of Tea"!
The location is outstanding, the staff is extremely kind and friendly, and the room was spotless and comfortable. We showed up right when the weather turned bad, and the front desk attendant offered us umbrellas whenever it was raining out. It is a great hotel for a weekend break, as the facilities are great and you can stay without much fuss. Check in and check out is simple, and there are several parking garages, with a hotel discount, located nearby. The room was smaller than we expected, but comfortable.
Very nice hotel in an old building with central location very close to the port and with moderm clean rooms. Affordable price (had a promo of 119 EUR for double with breaskfast). No minibar.
hotel location it needs renovation
Ideal Hotel to discover Marseille
Very good location and helpful staff. Terrible coffee served at breakfast.
The hotel is clean and comfortable and one could not imagine a better location. Also, we were able to check in at 8 a.m., which came in extremely handy. A little fridge in the room would have been welcome.
Location, fenestration, balconies
Location... freindly staff... we came back for one night after a few days elsewhere, and they gave us a free upgrade to a superior room which was wonderful. No carpark... but not too much of a hassle as carpark close by
Good location and comfortable rooms
location was good, staff were helpful
responsive staff, exellent location, free wi-fi
Excellent location, very central in a shoppingstreet, good isolation, so no disturbing streetnoise, close to the old harbour and the Place aux Huiles, rue Sainte with many restaurants. Very friendly and helpful staff. Oldfashioned look of the reception area and breakfastroom with hardly any daylight.
The location was excellent, the staff very friendly and professional. The room was spotless as was the bathroom. Appreciated the toiletries provided. Lack of parking, but not that big a problem.
The facility in general was lovely. The cleanliness of the room was a bit shocking, but in a good way. The staff.
The staff were very helpful. Location was near where I wanted to be. Small room, but it is Europe in a large city. Not very comfortable bed.
It was so convenient for all the old port activities and for great restaurants and shopping... we fell in love with the place and with each other....
Sahil kıyısı olması çok güzel.Otel çalışanları nazik kişilerdi. Otel ara sokakda ve kaldığım oda penceresi diğer binaların arkasına bakıyordu. Pencere açılınca müthiş klima güzültüleri vardı.
cok ferah, genis, yeni, rahat, guzel bir apart hotel oda temizligi ucrete tabi, havlular diger otellerdeki gibi degismiyor,
Fantastic view of the old port, very nice staff and free wi-fi (which works great). No room service for diner (but enough restaurants close by), for 180 € per night this should be a service...
The location of the hotel was very good and the view from our Club superior room was beautiful. The coffee during breakfast was exceptionally good.
The hotel was in an excellent spot and was excellent value for us, just the job for a base to explore the city, buses boats and Metro all within a stones throw. We stayed in a top floor room so any noise didnt bother us either. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The view was terrific The bathroom could do with more extract as it got very steamy
Location and view
Staff did more for ouer comfort and pleasant time in this hotel. Fantastic location and good price, good breakfest.
Good location Breakfast was a lot of money
Fantastic location, nice views from the rooms with balcony. Nice vintage 50's look
Location and view Small fridge
location, excellent internet access AC was terrible but staff moved us (lost waterview!) to newly rennovated room with great AC
great location, friendly staff, very helpful when arriving late
Location, fabulous, in the middle of the town. small but cosy
The location near Viex Port. The lightning, only one lamp in the room.
Convenient location; clean and tidy room; helpful staff, especially the handsome young man on duty at night.
The hotel is really well located, right in the heart of the Old Port area (city centre), from where I was able to visit all the major sites on foot. The room was very clean and the bathroom was spotless. All the staff were friendly and helpful, and they all spoke English which was a big relief as I don't speak French. There is even an British member of staff (Mike) who gave me great advice on what to do in Marseille. Overall, I thought that the 60 Euros I paid for my single room was really excellent value for money. The room was on the small side, but for a 2 star city centre hotel in France I expected nothing more.
The heating system is efficient The entrance key was a bit difficult
the perfect location, the wi-fi free Internet access and the hotel staff kindness the stairs to reach the recedption and lift floor, but it is not possible due to the infrastructure and I read that other hotel they have no lift at all, so it was not bad. Furthermore, in the guest review was included this info so it was no surprise.
Location was perfect!!It's in center of Marseille. It's one huge plus. It's smal bath and in number for 2 percons was only 1 towel. It's hide price for hotel same class like Veux port.
location The shower room is small and you deed hold it!
Great location and lovely view from window! Very pleasant cafe and bar with balcony on second floor. Very nice and accommodating staff! The interior of the halls and entrance need a little sprucing up. Pix on internet show bright paintings in hallways, etc. and reality is that hallways/straiwells,entrance are more drab. Tradeoff is with good location however.
My stay at Belevue was very well. Althought I arrived early, before check in time, they prepared my room before. It's in one of the best position in Marseille, in front of the port, next to the beautiful quarter of "Le Panier", no noise inside the room, air conditionig but not necessary, good cleaness, cortesy of the staff. Stairs without elevator is not a real problem as I read before.
The view over the old port was fantastic. Rooms on floors 2 to 4 are very nice. My room on the fifth floor was small, and the view was somewhat restricted by the roof. There was no elevator fora climb of - flights of stairs. The noise from the bar on friday was very loud until about 2 am
Wonderful view from the window, tasty breakfast, very friendly staff.
Good access to the places we wanted to go, helpfful and friendly staff. Too many stairs!!!!!
the central location, easy travel connections (Metro, train),mediterranean flair, good food places close by the noise from the street (traffic)
Great view of Marseille harbour. Friendly staff. No lift. Noisy exterior
The view is priceless!!! The lack of elevator.
The hotel was in an excellent location, right by the harbour Rooms on small side but thats the norm in marseille and the veiw made up for it, also decent bathroom . Hotel double booked our room on first night so we ended up in a room the size of a cupboard on the 5th floor in the attic. a long climb up a staircase that got narrower each floor. Breakfast was extra but most days there was nothing left by the time we went down. Only one member of staff could speak an understandable amount of english. Aircon worked in the cupboard room but not in our proper room
