Everything else. Overpriced compared to facility. The room could have been cleaner. The entrance location is a bit tricky for pedestrians. Not my best hotel experience.
My entire experience was weird. When we first arrived, we wanted to unload our car and I got yelled at like I was a child. Literally yelled at. I had to be firm back in order to get direction as to what te he'll I was supposed to do. Then, upon check in, I was informed that for our two cars, self park was $40. I had no idea it would be so much. I was extremely unhappy but tried to remain optimistic. I purposefully found a hotel with a Pool per request of our group. The pool is a sick hilarious joke. It's the size of a van. It was ridiculous. It was also completely full because of the 10 whole people who were in it. Left the hotel an figured out they overcharged me. Called them and they "took care of it". Well they isn't it still is not reconciled in my account. Over charged, expensive parking, rude parking dude, misleading pool size.
View was awesome! Staff was really nice and helpful. Definitely will be stay here again when the chance comes up Nothing was wrong
Very nice hotel, with excellent meeting facilities. Very convenient to West End nightlife and dining. Good food. Easy and cheap access to airport via rail (DART or TRE). The train is a little noisy, even on the opposite site of the building.
Super pet friendly. They welcomed my dog with a hyatt dog bed and dog dish for her and also gave us two treats that she enjoyed. However, there is a pet depost of $100 that's non-refundable
A remarkable hotel at the epicenter of Dallas. The hotel has immediate access to all local Dart rail trains (leading everywhere), the T (taking you to Fort Worth) and Amtrak with straight connections to Chicago and Los Angeles. A memorable vacation starts with 1 or 2 nights here and then a surprise trip either on Amtrak or Dart out to DFW airport. The atrium is amazing with views of Reunion tower and the famed 560 Wolfgang Puck's restaurant. Make your reservations at least 2-3 weeks out to get an available time slot for a memorable night viewing downtown Dallas from 3/4 of mile away and 560 feet up in the air. Room was spacious and immaculate and view of downtown, rail station, Omni was incredible. Request a view of downtown when you check in. Valet parking is a little pricey so I opted for self pay parking at the Amtrak station ($6 for 12 hours)
I loved the location. Friday nights dinner at five-sixty was wonder full and the view amazing. Saturday morning we awoke and took a stroll through downtown dallas. And the shops on the 1st level were convenient. So last weekends stay was all for fiancee....Shes been really stressed lately and i wanted to give her a night to remember.First off partially my fault, but i booked on prom weekend so parking was horrible. I actually ended up parking across the street from Reunion Tower. Then greeted at the front desk i find that they've stuck me into a double queen handicap room, not ok. After speaking with the young lady down stairs she apologizes and gives me a different room. Again its a double queen not the single room. I had booked. Then when i go to wash up before dinner at the five-sixty, the drain to the sink was clogged and water poured on to the floor. Kids at the prom were having fun on the balcony, they were laughing, screaming and enjoying theyre night. Unfortunately for us, we were located right above...
Friendly staff, beautiful location and near everything. PARKING
Contemporary rooms with great staff. Highly satisfied.
I absolutely loved it. We stayed at the Hyatt for my boyfriends 30th birthday and the staff was phenomenal. At check in they asked us what the occasion was and upon finding out they sent us a bottle of wine and appetizers to our room. the first night we ate at the little Italian bistro and not only was it delicious but the waiter Chris was so nice. Natasha in the bar area was equally amazing. We had a wonderful view of the city on the 25th floor. I have stayed at several other locations in the city.. Zaza, Magnolia, Joules etc. this is the best bang for your buck. Thank you so much for assisting in making it a special weekend!! We self parked, and the walk from self parking is pretty long we got lost in the hotel trying to find our way to the front desk. (we parked in the parking lot closest to reunion tower)
The room was clean enough. Valet is a joke. Staff is rude. Not pet friendly at all. Terrible location, hard to access. Expect long waits for any service needed and fees that aren't shown online. Make sure to really check your bill upon leaving. Ours was screwy. Couldn't complete a quick check-out, because we had to go to the desk to get it fixed, which took forever.
The Bar in the lobby was nice. Grrat location
Good location, easy check-in, & very helpful, friendly staff. Wouldn't consider the hipster, trendy decor, setting, etc., a bad thing- just different. Kinda cool (but glad I had researched online prior to know what to expect). The shower wall (foggy glass) was a bit strange, especially for my situation - staying with a friend. There's no room service, but refreshment/snack bar had enough.
Good location. Cool, modern feel. Bed was not the most comfortable, very firm.
While the room was not super luxurious - for a business trip - it was perfect. Rather a NYC loft feel (hence the name) with modern vibe. I had a nice view of some of the Dallas skyline. I do believe they really are green conscious - with a little recycle bin in the room so I didn't have to feel guilty about water bottles being tossed. Very close to the convention center and Main Street where we found some nice eateries and pubs (a five minute walk). Super friendly staff from the front desk to the bartender at the lounge. At the end of the day, the bed was very comfortable and I slept well. Erm - the pool area could have used a little help. I have come to count upon the hotel shampoo & conditioner (never bother to pack my own anymore)- but didn't care for the pre-mixed stuff in the wall dispenser.
One elevator of 2 was out most of my stay. There with a large wedding party and we were all going and coming at same time. Very frustrating....
the closeness of all the sights we wished to see in the time we had there
I enjoyed the staff. I found them personable, helpful, and willing to go out of their way for my needs. The breakfast was okay. It seems as the week went on, the food seemed to be recycled. The biscuits and gravy became more water downed as the week progressed.
The stay was comfortable for two guest, liked that Hotel had a resturant in the stay. Did not like the parking area of the Hotel!
It was interesting to stay at an older renovated hotel. The improvements- showers especially-were very good. The view was great of the Old Red Court House and in walking distance of the West End restaurant area. It was also right across from Union Station with the Dart and tre trains. With those and the hotel shuttle bus you could get anywhere in town. It was nice to have breakfast included. Our bathroom was a bit tight but manageable.
proximity of downtown, personnal are very gentle, good service
Location pretty much Door don't seal right main window dirty shower too short or too low, also breakfast too expensive for what you offer
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool area was rundown. furniture broken and old. did not like that after a certain hour, the hotel bar turns into a nightclub with a $10 entrance. we just wanted to go have a drink at the hotel bar and it went from a nice hotel bar earlier in the day to a cheeky vegas nightclub packed with 20 somethings. We just wanted to go from our room to have a cocktail, not the gross club!
Good stay overall! One complaint was told via email and booking that the room included breakfast even the server with breakfast told me it was included but somehow I was charged anyway. Ill just make sure to be mindful the next time.
The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The room, though somewhat older, was clean and the bed was reasonably comfortable. Water pressure on our floor (15) was good, but a friend staying on another floor (18) said that it was barely a trickle. Although we didn't use the pool, its location on the ninth floor was nice. Downtown Dallas, like downtown of other large, Texas cities (e.g., Houston) is just not a great location. We arrived on a Sunday, and very little was open. We walked several blocks to find dining options other than Subway, McDonald's or 7-Eleven. The hotel is not far from a Greyhound station and several urban parks, so there were often groups of people hanging around near the hotel that made the place seem a bit unsafe. The hotel is on the older side, and could stand to be upgraded a bit.
Location is great, Dallas World Aquarium is within walking distance so you do save on parking. The hotel stay was ok, the room had a microwave and a fridge which I wasn't expecting so that was nice. You basically get what you pay for. The hotel is downtown and I checked other downtown hotel rates and they were quite expensive so settled on this. It's not a luxury hotel per say so plan to spend some time exploring the downtown because that way you get a good value out of your hotel stay.
The front desk and concierge was very polite and friendly. The entrance to the hotel is beautiful! The bed was very comfortable and the balcony was nice. The room was in need of a remodel. Paint and color on the walls were out of date. There were several spots that have been patched over. The bar staff wasn't very knowledgable in making drinks or friendly. She seemed preoccupied with one customer the hour I was there.
The location is the reason I booked this hotel. Room smelled like wet mildewed gym socks. The bed was beyond uncomfortable. The toilet paper even felt like it was from the solitary confinement section of Riker's Island! We were forced to have our room keys re-magnetized 7 times in two days. I am very conscious not to let my cell phone come in contact with the keys etc, but it was a habitual problem. I have never experienced that in all the many places I have stayed in the past. The front desk staff was disinterested and going through the motions every time they were approached. Warm hospitality is not their strong suit. I really discourage this hotel when staying downtown. Go somewhere else.
We were supposed to have a room with two queen-size beds and instead we had two full-size. was very hard for four people to sleep in two full-sized beds.
It was close to the 6th floor museum Noises, lots of people coming in and out because there was a big party in the club located inside. Relaxing was impossible.
The location was nice in that is was close to many other places downtown within walking distance. Although the immediate area didn't give us a fully safe feeling. The price we paid for the hotel was fair. The smell of the hallway was bad. It seems like they never cleaned or replaced the carpet ever. The location also looked a little shady as we were walking to the hotel.
Shower head was much to short for a tall person. I kept hitting my head on the spout which was both painful and disgusting.
I had a great stay. My visit was exactly as I expected. The hotel shuttle pick up from Love Field was a unique benefit.
excellent hotel! Kayak hooked us up with a spacious suite complete with a kitchen and small living room! If i'd come back to Dallas, for the price... this is where I want to stay.
The hotel was very clean. The staff was very welcoming. The breakfast is very good. The facilities were fun (basketball room, swimming pool ...).
The hotel was clean. The hotel attempted to cancel my reservation due to their overbooking problems. They didn't want to recognize my reservation. After getting rather irate with them, they tried to send me to a sister property. I called and that property was overbooked as well. The desk manager finally provided me my room. I will never stay at this location again. I am a a Marriott Gold member and they treated me like crap.
The hotel had clean rooms, but the beds were not the most comfortable. It is located in a great part of Dallas, central to a lot of entertainment and easily accessible to the highway.
It's location in the West End where all the events of the Texas/OU Weekend took place.
Luxurious rooms, very nice spacious bathroom.
Vary nice lobby/public area and the room was vary cleen beautifully decorated The staff was horrible! The bellmen left one of my bags in the room and when I call to see if they have it. The front dest gave me the runaround and I wound up speaking to 6 people in different departments all don't know what happend to my bag. The staff at this hotle was the unhelpful and rude. There are other great hotels in the area I suggest you find one of them.
We loved the room , restaurants and felt it was a good value for amenities We called to make reservations to the Texas Spice & got no answer. Front desk tried and told us restaurant was booked. Called restaurant 10 min later. They answered and got us in at our requested time. Restaurant was half full. So communication breakdown. But it all worked out
The staff was very helpful. The Texas Spice and Box Office Staff were exceptional. The food at Texas Spice was great. The view was awesome. The beds comfortable. My daughter has stayed there several times before, and the price was atleast $100.00 a night cheaper than what I paid. We were also charged for wifi and self parking was very expensive. We stayed 2 nights, and after the cleaning people had been in our room, the sink handles had not been wiped down. For the price of our stay not sure we got the quality. Not sure we will come back.
Being greeted with champagne Live band in the lobby Clean and comfortable room Staff were friendly and professional
The rooftop pool was an amazing feature. The pool was a blessed relief after a hot, muggy day. It was also in a central location downtown. Plenty of restaurant options nearby - although the hotel restaurant - Texas Spice - was a nice option as well. The work out facility was up to date with amazing views of the city. Certainly worth while.
Great experience. We had a great view of downtown. Pool closed too early. Parking too expensive.
We enjoyed our stay at Omni in Dallas. Room is clean, bed is comfortable, pool is awesome and the restaurant "Texas Spice" is really nice. We recommend this hotel for families looking for luxurious place to stay in Dallas. None
The spa services were exceptional. Bob's chop house was delicious and convenient for my husband and I to celebrate. Our room was ready and clean the three days we stayed. The only complaint was that we thought there was a mini microwave and there wasn't. Other than that we were fine.
Size of room Many large groups that were very loud and partying.
pet fee was a little high
The pillows and bed were worth every single penny. Getting ready for a night out with my husband and being able to watch tv in the bathroom was a luxury I will not soon forget. Breathtaking view! We requested a quiet room but there was a convention with young teenagers staying there and they were a bit unruly and loud.
The rooms very large and the gym was awesome. They even provided workout clothes and shoes, which I forgot to bring. The staff was very professional, except for the maid service. The maid service was lazy. The staff only cleaned the room once in three nights in spite of our repeated efforts to have it cleaned daily.
