The location, Rome is a walking city and unfortunately being so far out, you miss out on the opportunity to walk from your front door to see and feel the sites of Rome. Fortunately we had a car and this made it easier to drive to places and not totally rely on the shuttle bus.
Very good environment. No.
servise, brakefist, cleanliness,shuttles
it was excellent a little bit expensive
the view from my room, it was great
Slightly out of town and away from the bustle, but close enough to walk and see all of the sights
the worst hotel in the world bunch of maffia trying to rip you off
I liked the breakfast each morning and the relaxing courtyard. The location was nice. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful.
very good location, not far from the vatican, the swimming pool is a godsent
The pool, all staff EXCEPT reception, food quality, breakfast The hotel is very nice - lovely grounds and beautiful pool. The pool staff, housekeeping, and bellhops were excellent. They all made a special effort to be kind and friendly, especially to our young son. The food was delicious (room service and by the pool), and the breakfast outstanding. Lots to choose from and freshly prepared. Also no matter what time we went to breakfast everything was fully stocked. Room size, Reception staff, location, food price, wi-fi There were three of us and our room was TINY. So small, in fact, that we didn't have space to open more than one suitcase at a time. They should have been ashamed of themselves for putting us the room they did. The wi-fi was ATROCIOUS. It didn't work by the pool at all, and barely worked in the rooms - constantly dropping off. And they would give us a daily user-id and password which was a hassle. The hotel didn't offer any sort of information book, so when we got to our room we had no idea how things worked - the pool, breakfast, wi-fi, tv, etc. We had to ask questions constantly, and the reception staff was not forthcoming with information (we got an eye roll once). The hotel is a bit too far away from main Rome attractions to make it possible to walk both to and from things, which added a lot to our stay since we ended up taking a taxi at least one direction (at 20 euro a pop). That said, it's in a lovely residential area that was quiet and very close to the Trestavere district, which was nice. Lastly, while the food at the bar was delicious, it is VERY pricey with not many options.
Great location, nice garden area to sit in. Breakfast was well done, as well as afternoon tea. Rooms were rather small. Meals at the hotel would have been convenient, but very pricey.
lovely clean fresh room with a great veiw breakfast was excellent staff very helpful and friendly shame that the bar shut early on a saturday night as the garden was lovely and we came back at 1030 to sit in garden and enjoy a drink and coffee only to find it was closed so went to bed thirsty. also taxi driver drove way to fast using his mobile phone very scary journey to the airport. However driver from the airport was lovely
The location was out of the city centre itelf yet readily accessible using buses the routes of which were all described by the staff at the hotel. Good selection from the buffet breakfast and lots of healthy options too. The clr=eaners made the room daily to a very high standard. A whopping 10% surcharge for using travellers cheques..!!! Staff very stroppy when challenged about this, the pool was freezing and completely unuseable and we couldn't use the hotel bar as there was a private function on every night..! Also, the shower screen leaked water all over the bathroom floor which the staff we not interested in fixing. All in all. The staff we only interested in doing their job to a minimum and did not want to go out of there way for anything to help..! This may just be an Italian trait as this seemed to be the norm across the city.
Gardens and location Lack of a restaurant
Good location, nice room, friendly helpful staff (for the most part)
The fantastic pool after a day's siteseeing. Evening drinks in the lovely garden. The location out of the traffic and crowds of Rome city, but only a short, pleasant walk to St. Peters and the Vatican. The small room , with a "view" of the restaurant roof. Very claustrophic.
Friendly helpful staff, spotless room, good breakfast buffet, convenient for bus into city centre Not a criticism, but it should be appreciated that the hotel is a fair distance from the city centre
This was my first time in Italy and I was anxious, but all the staff at the hotel were very nice and helpful. They assisted me with directions and they did it always with a smile. The room was very comfortable and the best was the breakfast everymorning None
The staff was very helpful.
Hotel staff is very friendly, the buffet breakfast is great. The room is nice.
The hotel was brilliant and the staff were fantastic, soon as you walk in we were greeted in such a great way, the staff told us so much info and helped us with our stay, thank you so much, im telling my friends to come here i was only there for 3 nights and i wanted to stay longer
Nice design. All clean.Friendly and helpful staff. V.good breakfast. Nice view out of our bedroom window (the garden side)
As the hotel was a bb hotel, we were taken by surprise. The standard was vrey high; both the small appartment and the breakfast. On our trip in car we stayed 10 different places and Ecohotel in Rom was the best of all.You ask "Do you think guest reviews about this hotel on our website accurately reflect your experience there?" And we answer no because it was much better :-)
excellent staff; very good breakfast. little far from the city center. thank you !
This hotel is excellent value for money in Rome. The rooms are small but it was exceptionally clean and this is common for Europe and they were still perfectly adequate. We had a family room which was 2 rooms, one with double bed and second room with full out sofa and small attached cooking facilities.
Fine hotel. Nice looking and clean rooms. Service at the top. Delicious breakfast. A bit away from the city centre, but bus connections near the hotel. Highly recommended.
The bar facility was a handy option at the end of an evening for hot or cold drinks The rooms at the front road side could do with better insulation for the traffic noise.
The staff was particularly hospitable and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and particularly anyone travelling North to PIsa, Florence or La Spezia as the Trastevere station is very close and so much easier to manage than Termini The bathrooms although clean do need a bit of a face lift
Hotel is comfortable, rooms are simple but clean and have air-conditioning. Good value for money and I was able to take my cat. Breakfasts better than I have experienced at much more expensive hotels in Rome. One-way streets make this hotel difficult for taxis to find!
The hotel is very good situated in Rome. Near the train, bus and tramstation. The people in the hotel are friendl and helpfull. The breakfast was nice. We enjoyed our stay in Rome very much. We would like to visit this hotel again when we returm to Rome. The noise of the airconditioning. But, I must admit that it was very hot during our stay. I don't know if that has anything to do with it. We did not complain about it because all the other thing were very much ok.
The hotel was clean, staff were friendly and helpful. Our twin room consisted of three single beds and was immaculate. It was cleaned daily. Room had tv with various channels including English language news channel. Bathroom was spotless and towels were changed daily. Breakfast was continental style consisting of breads and pastries, ham, cheese, cereal, coffee (from a machine), tea, fruit drinks (not real fruit juice unfortunately). The hotel was a little far out which surprised us at first, but there is a tram stop outside the hotel with trams every few minutes going into centre of town in 10 minutes. Don't attempt to walk it from Termini like we did! The only other downside was the traffic noise so of we were to stay again (which we would!) then we'd ask for a room not on the road side.
Villa Rosa has been completely renovated. It provides a comfortable room on a quiet hillside near Trastevere Station. There is a direct train from the airport and a tram takes you to the heart of Rome in minutes. Trastevere and Testaccio, two of Rome's nicest areas, are a short walk. The breakfast is worthy of a 4* hotel. Best of all is the friendly welcome and excellent service. I needed to have a shirt ironed quickly and Barbara, the manager, went out of her way to find a solution. We were all delighted with Villa Rosa. nothing
Desk staff very helpful.Good location for transportation to city/airport/Vatican etc, walking distance to train station, excellent bus/tram connections.Breakfast spread was great Needs upgrading of carpets/painting.Also exterior needs new painting
* The behaviour of the staff during breakfast. * Broken shower glass, so that it would open and close with difficulty * Noisy air conditioning * No Internet connection
Friendly staff, good breakfast, clean rooms etc. Need to say on hotel information it is at Trastevere, I thought it was near Termini railway station, but once I found the hotel it was lovely.
Excellent location for transport into Rome very close to tram, railway station (2 stops to St Peters) and direct to airport. and bus. Very good value for money. Very clean. clean towels and sheets every day. airconditioning, fridge in your room. would definetley use again. There was no written information in your room eg how to use the aircondtioning, what tv stations, what time breakfast, what number to ring for reception etcring
Good location friendly staff and comfortable room...breakfast was pretty good as well, considering it was included...ask for coffee from the expresso machine...no extra charge!! Of my party of 6, a couple thought the bed could do with renewing and a new mattress would be a good idea...they are obviously getting round to it!! Ask for a room on the back it is quieter
Value for money. Staff were very helpful. Not much around. ave to catch a taxi into town.
excelent staff, good beds, security, clean. they mention "Take the bus to the Vatican in just 10 minutes." But they don't mention that you need more 45 minutes to reach the vatican !!! by car it is just crazy. I had better breakfast in 2 star hotels ...
Very nice personnel. Clean and nice hotel. Liked it.
Despite the location, a bit on the outskirts of Rome, the city center is easily reahced through the public transport. Excellent services, clean room, nice staff. N/A
Good Parking, good room at a very low price. NO
Excellent location. Quiet area - no traffic noise at all, but however it was easy to come from airport by train and tram and then travell around the city by tram or bus. Wireless internet and tv worked fine. Friendly host. Great value for money. You might wake up quite early every morning because the 'house' is little noisy (people walking/cleaning(?)/door smashing etc).
The space of the room was very good. The host has a nice livingroom where you can take everithing from the refrigerator (juice, milk, ) Our host was very friendly and help us with all of our questions. The room wasn´t cleaned every day just changed the towels and make the bed but a little more cleaning would be fine.
My time in Rome was amazing there! The bed was comfy and the pillows were heaven. The croissants in the morning for breakfast are to die for! Everything was very nice and I wish I could've stayed longer Evening was good so I don't have any complaints at all!
The Caligola resort is a very good and clean B/B near to the Rome city centre!! The staff is very kind ant the price was good!!! Also the breakfast is good!!
Caligola is perfect to stay in Roma. The room has a good size for Roma and offers everything you need to stay with confort .The localization is fine ,easy to reach the historic center ,and at night ,there are a lot of good restaurants with charm and good price in Trastevere .And finally ,Roberto is all the time ready to help us .
