Clean comfortable accommodation. I understood I had booked accommodation in Nelson, with swimming pool and choice of restaurants. The accommodation was in Stoke, no pool overlooking a gravel pit. The female staff member at reception was unhelpful and rude. The male member of staff was, however, pleasant. When I booked with Booking.com I asked for confirmation of what I had booked. I did not receive same.
I found the owners to be very pleasant, the hotel was very clean and I felt very safe there.
The room was clean and comfortable, the host and hostess were very friendly. We checked in late and they helped us find a restaurant that was open. I would highly recomend this place. n/a
I enjoyed my stay at the Arcadia, the service was excellent. They helped me find activities to do in the area, and helped me booking those activities. The staff is friendly and very helpful.
This Motel was very good value for money. It was everything we needed for a short stay in Nelson. The owner was very friendly and eager to be of help and the rooms spacious. A little dated but this didn't bother us as it was perfectly clean. 5 minute drive (20 minute walk) from Nelson Town but again we had our car so was not a big issue.
We did enjoy our stay very much, was perfect

The room was great- large and had a well-equipped kitchen. There was also a carport for our car. The owners were very friendly.
the outside looked nice and i'm sure some rooms are nicer than the one we booked. the furnishings in our room were tatty with chips stained and cracked. we ended up with lots of bites from the bed. thought it was a bit overpriced for the industrial area it is situated and the room itself. only stayed one nite of the three.
Room size, the fact that it had a kitchenette area, a sofa and an extra twin size bed in addition to the queen. Walls are paper thin, so much so that you can not only hear others talking, but hear and understand their entire conversation word for word.
I liked our dinner at Miyazu Teppan Yaki Restaurant. Our Chef was from Phillipines (Alvin?) (sorry I can't recall his name) but he was really friendly and gave us a great experience.
the convienence of the accommodation - we could walk everywhere - also very clean and friendly
the location and excellent room for 3 people. we were there over a long weekend and their feature Japanese restuarant was closed!!
Proximity to city centre. Room facilities. Helpful staff in breakfast room. Availability of parking. Large fee for late checkout. Glass shower screens leak causing water to pool on bathroom floor.
The recognition of having stayed before and the personalised message and gift. Quiet, warm and comfortable.
Central location Front of office did not make eye contact with the people waiting to be served at check out time. An acknowlegement "I will be with you soon" makes clients feel that they are at least in the system.
It provided a great "home base" for our stay in Nelson - good location, comfortable, good facilities, helpful (mostly) staff. We had to go to the Visitors' Centre to arrange an afternoon arts and wine tour. Restaurant menu a bit limited.
The convenience - close proximity to shops, cafes, etc. Only one bathrobe in room; difficulty of filling jug from bathroom tap.
The concierge/front desk helped us plan a cruise/ tour of Abel Tasman N. Park which was the highlight of our trip to nz. Great last minute planning. There was no room safe.
The complimentary dressing gowns. Poor quality buffet breakfast. One view was enough to move us to other providers close by in town.
Lovely and well-decorated Victorian style house.Stayed at a few B&B before, but this one has the best cooked breakfast and interior decor. Walking distance to restaurants and NZ center(a lovely hiking trail for an overview of Nelson).Welcoming hosts. Nothing at all.
Comfortable clean setting, great restaurant and bar, enjoyed the pool and gym, close to the beach The room I was in was close to the main road and there was loud road noise all night. I would choose a room away from that road nest time, double glazing would probably help
Convenient location. The loud, late party in rooms nearby. No mirror in the main room - and no powerpoint for the haisdryer in the bathroom therefor the dryer needs a long cord which it don't have! Inability to contact any staff after midnight - phone "wasn't switched over" I don't know how we endured such "luxurious double room" accommodation.
I thought the staff were very professional and friendly. The room were spotlessly cleaned. The fridge motor was very loud which kept interupting my sleep.
