The hotel is really close to the airport as well to Marina Del Rey and Santa Monica.
The Hotel is very nice and well appointed. It does NOT include breakfast. They would not come to the airport to pick me up because they did NOT have a record of my reservation. I had a copy of my pre-paid reservation and called Get A Room. They agreed that they showed my reservation. Who's fault it was (Get A Room or Doubletree) I am not sure. But it took 2 1/2 hours for them to work it out and pick me up. They (Doubletree) originally claimed that they had no openings. Some way or another one must have opened up but 2.5 hours waiting at the airport is NOT acceptable.
- location - price - free parking (due to some changes being made) - pool - Tissue-thin walls ... could hear EVERYTHING in next room - Restaurant burger I ordered had bone pieces in it, chipped my back molar ... NOT kidding.
The room decor and space were both excellent. The bed felt firm in an inexpensive fashion, but was still reasonable in comfort. The real reason for the low rating in an otherwise four star establishment was the complete lack of hot water pressure at 1030 am on a weekday.
I really thought the room was lovely--large. Things seemed updated and clean. Bed was fairly comfortable--everything worked well. Staff was warm and friendly. Cookies in the afternoon provided at front desk. First bellman didn't tell us that we could stay parked in the Handicapped Parking spot in front. Second bellman did, but a $10.00 charge appeared on the final bill. Staff took it off when I explained. Requested 4 pillows and a view as our most important request. No view and only 2 pillows on bed when we arrived. Bellman brought two more pillows after a phone call. Artwork in hallway is a series of gigantic pictures of 1950 ish dolls---creepy. Including a 5X7 framed photo of one of the doll pictures on the desk in the room. i could see one, but entire hall lined with them.
Love the idea if complementary cookies. I didn't eat any but the idea is great. Thanks. They nickle and dime you on the breakfast. $9.99 for a bowl of oatmeal. Nooooo! So sad. $30.00 for the two of us to have eggs, sausage and potatoes. Really. And the OJ was a separate charge, ouch.
Overall we loved the hotel and will go back. Very clean, comfortable, quiet. Nice restaurant/bar upstairs. Courtyard peaceful. Staff very friendly. The paintings of the "Barbie"-like girls in the hallway were odd.
The staff couldn't have been nicer and it made the stay that much more enjoyable! Highly recommended and will stay here again!
Clean. Staff is very friendly. Has a nice vibe. Close to airport. My room particularly overlooked busy street. Decent stay for decent price
I arrived late because my flight from Miami was delayed a few hours. As I walked in around midnight, the staff helped me load up my suitcases into a trolley and directed me to where I could take my dog out for a walk. I ordered a breakfast that night for sometime between 9:00am and 9:30am the following morning, and it arrived promptly by 9:05am. The staff also allowed for a later check-out at 12:30pm to give me time to maneuver my belonging and dog. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. I would recommend. They stopped serving food for room service pretty early.
We loved the location, cleanliness, size of the room and price. Room service- the breakfast was awful! We didn't eat all of it because it was a soggy wet fried egg sandwich with rolls of lunch meat and wet uncooked spinach. Honestly don't get breakfast there. Also the front desk girl didn't make eye contact or smile once- not sure why but that got to me.
The hotel has many positives such as: clean surroundings, friendly staff, great food, free wifi, & an inexpensive valet. N/A
Very comfortable beds. Love the hip decor. Would come back again. Really Nice people. In general we really enjoyed Manhattan Beach more than other coastal cities. It's less cramped feeling and has a wonderful Beach. Valet parking. I'm guessing you could park in neighboring streets if you wanted. It's on a busy street but it's nestled back a bit so you don't feel it.
We stayed in this room the Friday after Thanksgiving and got a good deal. When we checked in, the front desk employee informed us we had $50 worth of hotel amenities we could spend on drinks, food, etc. We had room service for breakfast and it was awesome.
Location for business was excellent. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Room had a lingering smell of body odor. They had tried to cover it with lots of fresheners but it was always there. Also room was bit tired looking. Needs some TLC.
staff at the restaurant was extra-attentive and well-trained nothing
Location, staff was very accommodating , beautiful grounds .... Only one bad experience.. but I so enjoyed my stay that I will not mention the big mistake a ( single) staff member made ..
I liked the location. I reserved a non smoking room with a KING bed. I did not like that the room we were checked into smelled strongly of paint fumes. When I asked the clerk if she could change our room she booked us into room 226. This was a smoking room with only a full sized bed. When I spoke to the clerk about how usually I was with the room change, I was there was nothing they could do about it since I booked through a third party. I was very displeased with the staff and the lack of accommodation.
I liked the location The towels, sheets, and overall cleanliness was just horrible. Our towels had crusted brown stuff on them, sheets had black marks and the comforter in a non smoking room had cigarette burns and smelt of smoke. The walls had holes in them and the upkeep of the property was obviously not a priority.
The room was clean and the desk workers were courteous. The hotel shuttle only runs until 8 pm so we had to take a cab from the airport after our flight arrived at 10:30. The continental breakfast was also on the skimpy side
cheap, clean advertise hi speed internet but most of the time it didn't work at all
The shuttle was conveinet. Roderick the front desk man was funny and helpful. I didnt like how in front of us checking in their was a group of irresponsible swearing mid 20 year olds. The walk to our room was long and cold. We tookthe 6 am shuttle but I wasnt able to eat your " continental breakfast".
Close to the airport, with shuttle service. Clean. Five dollars extra for parking--the usual gouge of hotels but, for a motel, a ridiculous charge. The rooms are tiny. The price was too high.
The facility itself was not that bad. Location Customer service was horrible. I stood at the front desk for 10 minutes without being acknowledged. There was two people at the front desk and none bothered to even say anything. One was on the phone and the other was just sitting there. I was told over the phone several times before arrival that I could request a roll away bed if needed. I planed on having my son over for a night or two. Upon requesting one on arrival I was told they would get me one. I later received a call questioning how many guests I had and harassing me as to how many guests I could have in the room. (after I had already explained this to the front desk prior to making a reservation). They refused to move us to a bigger room. The break feast was a joke. It was completely messy with cereal and spilled liquid all over the place. The trash was overflowing and there was obviously plenty of staff to take care of it. The internet was down about 30% of my four day stay. The room and air conditioner smelled like urine. The hotel facility itself was no bad at all. This place definitely needs new management. They need to start by training and/or simply hiring front desk staff with better manners and people skills. The information given needs to be consistent with the actual hotel policies. This was just a bad experience. We travel frequently and hardly ever deal with so many issues at once. Again with better management, I think this hotel has the potential to offer so much more. We paid a ( Marriot ) 5 star price for this room and we probably could of got better service at motel 6 for less than a quarter of what we paid a night. This is just my 2 cents and observations. Stay here if you just want a place to sleep.
Very close to LAX Staff was very rude and unwilling to help.
We checked in at there check in time but the room was not ready. We were asked to return in an hr. Upon our return the room was still not ready!!! I was very patient with them but VERY disappointed in the quality of service!!!
close proximity to the airport. They have no pick up when I arrived at 0130. I have to find my own transportation in the early morning. they said they would refund my taxi ticket but has to have a printed receipt. Of course I could not have one as I was traveling. To use their computer to print it would cost me almost the fee of the Uber. Forget it!
The staff was wonderful. Truly made our stay better. Nothing :)
Location near the airport. Breakfast included in room price. Proximity to food court. Free print-out of boarding passes. Shuttle pick-up at, airport, only after telephone request: no regular pick-up. This is most inconvenient as, arriving from abroad, our telephones do not work in the USA. Not knowing this in advance caused us to wait more than an hour before returning inside the airport terminal to inquire at the tourist information desk. The comment of the tourist information desk attendant was, "Oh, Travelodge South LAX has ___tty service". In comparison, the shuttle of Travelodge Century Boulebvard made 2 rotations before I went and calledTravelodge South LAX from the Tourist information desk. The room we occupied was inadequately sound-proofed. I know that US hotels are notorious for this, but our room seemed particularly subject to incursions of noise; from around and above. The battleship gray paint, used for the exterior walls, has the effect of camouflaging the hotel so that it disappears from view.
Staff was friendly and efficient. Access to LAX very good. Rooms were inexpensive. Facility was a bit down at the heels; stains on carpet and furniture surfaces. Toilet did not flush. Breakfast had no fruit or protein.
close to LAX,provides shuttle service to/from airport, room was comfortable and quiet breakfast did not include any fruit
When I had first arrived at the Embassy Suites Los Angeles--International Airport South, I was mesmerized by the beauty of the hotel. I enjoyed the less busy location of the hotel as well. The hotel staff were friendly and comforting. There was no selection of expensive champagne. Kristal or Dom Perignon would have been preferred.
It was excellent & more than fulfilled our needs. Instead of just being a 'kill time / stopover place' we discovered a spacious suite, good bistro food, friendly staff, amazingly efficient check out system & free extras - free internet access, free drinks & nibbles early evening, an excellent breakfast included in the price & a no fuss free extension to stay in our room til our free transfer to airport was due. All more than we expected & reasonably priced. Highly recommend this as a place to stay if waiting for connecting flights at lax or just a family get together in la! Nothing to complain about - all excellent.
I thought it was lovely. Furniture was lovely and the room was spacious and spotless. The pool area was lovely and the free internet access handy. I would stay here again and would happily recomend it to others.
I had a long day and became stranded in LA overnight. The manager did a great job realizing my situation and helping make me comfortable and ensuring that I had all I needed..
The bed was new and comfortable. They allowed late check-In. There were young prostitutes everywhere and the staff just let them.As well as Pimps outside. The staff even talked with Johns to arrange room visits with the prostitutes. It was uncomfortable atmosphere. The suite had several holes in the floor , under the carpet. The tubs drain plug was broken. But we said nothing since I was too afraid to open the door again.
I had a Christmas eve and Christmas day unplanned layover in LA. The girl at the front, Jordan really was sweet and nice. Helped my stay start off right.
Excellent service, good decor and layout of hotel plus indoor swimming pool. Staff friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Need to ring the hotel for shuttle bus when arriving at the airport, which is not handy when you have a non US phone
location; airport shuttle; coffee in room; no valet parking
While being close to the airport you don't hear much from the planes.
Extremely courteous and helpful staff and comfortable amenities. Indoor signage for pool/spa is lacking.
Great staff, very friendly and a nice location close to LAX. Pool needed a bit more service, eg towels.
Staff staff staff ... excellent staff,, very helpful also the room was very luxurious, hotel had plenty of amenities e.g. complimentary shuttle to my test center was very nice indeed of them. its location ,, as for me it was perfect for my main purpose which is being near my test center but once um done with my test theres nothing near by ... nothing to do it gives the feeling of an out of town hotel
The hotel was nice enough. I was in town on business and searching for places to relocate to in the area. This has always been my go to when I am on business travel and was excited to bring my girlfriend and show her where I stay when I travel to LA. Unfortunately we had some items come up broken after we were gone all day. Management never came to see us after they promised that they would. Nothing has been done about it. I am not trying to get anyone in trouble, but at least give me the courtesy of attempting to make it right instead of constantly saying sorry. Sorry doesn't fix it, it admits fault which further enraged by the lack of effort to make things right

close to airport smell the smoke whole night, ugly room
Saved $50 per night under lowest price available
Location. It's located 2-3 miles away from the airport, so it's pretty easy to get a Lyft to the airport for the morning flight. And the large grocery store and quite a number of places to eat around. Bedding was damp, there was a spider web on the ceiling in the bathroom, and the shower towels were dirty. They don't clean the room for customers staying less than a week. Keys kept locking us out. It's a 2-star inn.
The layout is slightly different then other Extended Stay America's as the rooms are equipped with counter bar tables which I preferred. Love that is next door to Ralph's. Very convenient.
Location Did not clean room after first day

Located in anice area. It was aboutique a 15-20minute drive from the nearest beach. Also liked that parking area was gated and we didn't have to pay extra for parking. Conveniently located next to a grocery store. Not sure if cleaning the room is only done per request , would've been nice for that detail to be explained at check in .
Friendly staff, location was ok. Room was across from Ralph's grocery's loud loading dock. Thin walls. Awakened too early. All rooms that half of floor are no-smoking, yet ash can right outside our door, so smoker's smell filled our room. Fridge moaned. Changed to new room with broke AC
The location close to my friends. Close to freeways and beaches.
Location Yes had to walk for staff to check in, very durty inside and out. Iron did not work remote control for tv was broken
Very good location to LAX Very slow internet connection

Very nice staff and clean, space room.
Breakfast was excellent! The room was really nice and we enjoyed our stay very much. The boys also enjoyed playing basketball and the free ball to play with. Nope.
We were happy with the room its self and the location. The staff was not very friendly or helpful and they said they offered a portible crib bit when we asked they said they had them but the janitor/maintence guy had the key so they didn't have access to them?
Good location, near the beach. Clean rooms, nice terrasse. The spa is located outside in the rear side of the building, not a great place...
Good location and value. Mold on bathroom ceiling and walls.
Very clean, very friendy, very comfortable, loved the ocean view, I will return again.
For the cost, the location was good plus free parking really added to the overall value. It was an easy walk to the beach, to Hermosa pier and shopping. Nice neighborhood. Noisy AC unit. Frig was turned off and had a puddle of water in it. TV was unplugged. Lighting was dim.
Good value for the price, Clean, comfortable, nice staff.
The room was airy than I expected, and kinda a oceanfront room. There was a slip-proof mat in a bathroom. They provided two coffees(drip) and tea bags. The breakfast was not excellent but it's enough for me. Hotel staff were friendly and nice. I ordered a taxi to the airport on the previous day, and they arranged a little ahead of time(almost on time). One night, the hot water was not hot enough.
The location was unbeatable and after we found ants everywhere in the first room the staff was super accommodating and upgraded us to a suite right across from our first room so it was not a hassel for us to change rooms. Checked in on us after we moved which I thought was a nice touch. Rooms were spacious and beds were comfortable. Ants EVERYWHERE in the first room. The vending machine was sold out of every drink?
Nice and friendly staff. Room always kept clean. Will come back
We booked day before, and arrived late next night after a long flight. We were greeted by very friendly front desk staff member. The jacuzzi suite was very big and clean with a nice patio area. The bed was the most comfortable we have slept on during our travels and was a very welcome bonus. Breakfast room was bright with outdoor eating area.Breakfast was self service, and was substantial continental. We requested a late check out for following evening and they were able accommodate us at a reasonable charge. All staff members were friendly and professional. Thank you
No wifi in the room
Perfect location and great value for the money. Nice staff and great location in hermosa! The rooms are updated and surpass the appearance of the outside. 100% staying here next time I come to hermosa, unless I just go ahead and move :)
Everyone was very helpful and welcoming. The room was lovely and felt very comfortable. Close to beaches and LA area so that was a perk. Will definitely be returning!
Close proximity to LAX. Free shuttle to LAX. Restaurant on site. Cleanliness. Computers available to check in for flight. Able to leave car there until return flight.
Front desk staff very helpful and friendly. Cafe had good food. Outdoor spaces very enjoyable. Noisy air conditioner and run down room hardware (bathroom door did not lock)
The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The room was very clean. My family loved the free breakfast. Great location. Definitely would stay again.
The hotel was very clean and quiet. All the clerks were very helpful and informative. The full hot breakfast was delicious but could have used more fresh fruit besides just banans. I would stay here again and would aldo recommend it to friends.
My wife and I were down in LA area for my sister's birthday party and needed a place to stay. This hotel was very accomodating and we really enjoyed our stay. We specially appreciated the refrigerator in the room and the hot breakfast which was included at no charge. They even gave us free Internet! The only bummer was that I left my cell phone charger on the wall plug and when I called at the end of the day we had checked out they couldn't locate it. Maybe it will turn up later. But I went ahead and got a new one.
This was my second stay at this hotel. Many restaurants, bars, and the beach within walking distance. Only problem this time was a faint cigarette odor in our room, although the hotel is non-smoking. Everything else was very good.
For the price of the hotel, it is a great value. Updated style and good amenities.
We were accomodated with a room that faced the parking lot and was quiet and comfortable. It felt safe and the front desk staff was always friendly. The room was clean and the parking and location convenient. We could easily get to the pier and downtown. Restaraunts and stores are abundant, but the location doesn't feel busy. An excellent location. We will definately stay there the next time we visit LA.
The Holiday Inn Express, in Hermosa Beach, is very well managed, very clean and friendly. The beds are comfortable, the bath room is clean and the hotel is very well located, near the beaches, the city and the airport.
very clean rooms, large rooms, very nice staff, quiet hotel.
This hotel was great! Good, safe location, FREE parking, FREE breakfast, nice rooms, nice staff. Overall, it was a great choice for us. Would definitely stay there again.
This hotel was very clean, updated and friendly. Definately worth the money. It is on a very busy street so getting in and out of hotel is a little tricky. Breakfast was great convenience.
Hotel was priced fairly for what it was. Very convenient to beach and highways. Hallways were quite dark and room was drab. Insignificant really since we spent little time there. Smoke odor was quite strong in the hallways and hotel needs some sprucing up, but the complimentary breakfast was one of the best we've had with good variety, although it was pretty much the same every day. Room was good sized. Everything appeared clean. In fact, bleach odor on sheets kept me awake a couple of nights it was so strong (not good). Community computer in lobby area was extremely slow, but I only used it to check flight info and briefly for other info. Could use upgrade. No one was overly friendly. Woman in breakfast room was pleasant. Because of convenience to beach and family we were visiting, we would probably stay there again.
The aesthetics of the hotel were fine. However, the blow dryer in the room didn't work and when I went downstairs to use the computer to print off my boarding pass for my return flight home it was not working properly, either. The staff was great. The location was fine for our purposes. (If you like barbeque, I recommend Pinkies within walking distance of the hotel.) The hotel breakfast was generous - bed very comfortable, everything else was fine.
We had been assigned a room in the lower tower... Not sure is that my room is booked in a discount rate.
Hotel was convenient to LAX. Like the openness of the room with balcony. Room was very clean and facilities good. Also lobby had a nice open, bright and fresh feel to it. Found the reception staff to be quite mediocre. Didn't go out of their way to be helpful, both at check-in and check-out.
The staff was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the area. Room was very clean. Bedding was very comfortable. Room service was fast and surprisingly affordable. Hotel is next to shopping, dining, movies and short drive to the beach. N/A
Excellent service and clean rooms. Also free self parking.
The location was good and the facilities were OK. The staff was very good and friendly. As a Hilton member I did not expect to put in a room with the smallest bathroom I have ever stayed in at a Hilton Hotel. The bed was way to soft and I woke up with a terrible back pain. The room was number 310 and I would hope that Hilton members would get better treatment than I received.
The staff was friendly and, for the most part, helpfull except what is described below. The free warm cookies were just terrific. This hotel is beginning to show it's age. Several (4) minor issues were reported to the staff and only one was resolved. In addition, the billing was excessive and we had to correct it before we checked out.
the service My car was broken in to while parked on the parking lot, and several very important items were stolen. I was promised a refund from getaroom.com for one night, for $115.00, but I have not received anything. My wife and I enjoyed coming to comfort inn several times a year, but I think its time for us to find another hotel.
Absolutely nothing. Dirty, shitty bed hurt my back.
We had a great experience at the hotel
It is to worth the value, and a convenient place to stay. The breakfast needs improvement. The sort could be more.
Breakfast The smell in the room was really bad, must improve on this
The gun shots, the intoxicated front desk girl or the ice pool
Closeness to restaurants for convinience. Parking was small
Nothing I got off my plane to find that room had been cancelled and sold too someone else. I had nowhere to go at 1am in the morning. My wallet was stolen a day before I checked in. When they tried to charge my card, it was declined and I was notified thatbinhad 24 hours to provide a new card number. I called them as soon as my plane landed, not even an hour after I got the email saying I had 24 hours to provide a new card to keep reservation. They did not honor their contract. Rude managers and unacceptable business practice. I will never stay at a comfort Inn again not use Kyayk or booking.com. If I wasn't a roll with the punches kinda guy, it would have been much worse. Unacceptable.
angie was wonderful at helping us resolve our booking problems. thankyou! area , ok, not much to do, for walking ,
There is a small living room and sleeping room in one room, very good when one of us wants to work and one of us wants to sleep.
Convenience to LAX. Friendly & very helpful staff. Excellent local Mexican Restaurant. The hotel was a little run down in appearance of rooms. De-luxe was rather a misnomer. There was supposed to be a swimming pool but its location was not apparent. Maybe a plan of the hotel available at checkin would be helpful.
Super amazing beds! Breakfast is decent. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Climate control didn't work in room, I don't think it worked on the entire floor so be sure to ask about it when you check in. Hair dryer was from the 80's. Parking for $15 seemed excessive.
Room had a stale smell. AC cut off and on all night and was very loud.
The staff is friendly and the building itself was pretty quiet give its proximity to landing strips at LAX. The exercise facility is quite nice. The express breakfast is limited, but gives a few options. My room was not clean--and frankly wasn't ready when I checked in at 4:00 pm (no bath towels). Toilet didn't flush well. Water didn't drain well in shower.
I called hotel 3 times and shuttle never came at airport. I had to wait for 1 hr finally I took a cab to hotel DO NOT take this hotel if you want shuttle from airport.
Called ahead to let them know I would arrive late. They said no problem. When I arrive they gave my room away and instead of 2 beds we got a bed and a pullout. Not OK. The first room they gave us had no water pressure so we had to move to another room. The front desk attendant had absolutely no remorse or empathy about the situation. Terrible service complete and total liars...
great breakfast included. airport shuttle was very convenient. staff was friendly. bed was comfortable and everything was clean and up to date.
Easy access, comfy bed, great amenities (tea, coffee, hot water in the lobby), friendly staff The shower head and towels need updating
A very nice place to stay. We requested to be away from families with kids & they gave us a quiet room.
Nice suite with plenty of room .Nice pool area. Breakfast buffet was adequate.Stayed Sat. & Sun. night. Got there earlier than scheduled check in and the surly desk clerk kept us waiting for over an hour for a room even though there were plenty available.
The hotel was being renovated when we stayed, which led to limited rooms and us being put in a smoking room despite requesting otherwise. However, the room ended up being fine. The rooms are large, obviously intended for an extended stay, and everything was clean. the furnishings are clearly in need of updating, however. We didn't use the continental breakfast, although it looked fine. The hotel is quiet- set back from the road and solidly built- so we enjoyed a good night's sleep.
This was a very nice hotel with great common areas. Everything about this place felt fresh and clean!
I checked into this hotel around 8pm. It was lovely!! The guy that helped me R was fast, informative, and efficient. I was checked in within a matter of minutes! My room was phenomenal, a kitchen, a living area w/ couch, and the most comfortable bed ever! Except for the fact that the people above me making way too much noise(throughout the nite my first nite, and half the nite on the second), and I found out I was in a smoking section, I would've been quite content where I was. However, I did make a call to the front desk to request being moved; and there was an issue trying to get me into a new room so I was asked to call in the am for the Manager--the second nite. Can I tell you how glad I was to find; not the Manager, who was running late; but a very helpful lady named S,who took care of everything. She put me into the first available suite, which happened to be a MAJOR upgrade! I was so stunned and impressed at the concern shown for me and my comfort during my stay. Even the clea...
I had an excellent experience at this hotel. The room was perfect, very clean, very large. It was equivalent to a one bedroom apartment, the sofa had a pull comfortable foldout bed and the kitchen even had cookware & dishes! (a wonderful home away from home). The bed was very comfortable. The pool and hot tub were great, the grounds are very well maintained and pretty. The breakfast was awesome! (Not just rolls & coffee), Each morning the cooks prepared a delicious spread that included eggs, meats, fresh fruits, and plenty of breads, make your own waffles and cold cereals. AND they even had a wonderful dinner (this was a Huge surprise!) They served complimentary beer & wine with our night meals also. The staff was very helpful and friendly. This place is also conveniently located to all that I wanted to see and do in the Los Angels area, easy access to all highways. My family and I really can't say enough about how wonderful this place was and I highly recommend it for any family for a l...
This is probably the best kept secret in LA's South Bay area. We stayed at the Doubletree (nice) and the Queen Mary (deluxe state room) and wished we'd stayed at the Staybridge. Great rooms and great location. Peaceful, quiet, and close to everything. We'll be staying here on all our future trips to the LA area.
Enjoyed our stay. Close to mall, restaurants, beaches, and freeway. Nice room with breakfast everyday. Would stay here again.
I Really Like This Hotel Because It Has a Kitchen w/ a Full-Size Fridge and It's Nice and Quiet
This was our second visit to this location. We love that it is central for the activities we have planned. And, with young kids, it is great to have a suite with a bedroom away from the main tv area and we love a main floor entrance to our room. The carpets are dirty (seems to be common at our price range) and we had an ant problem any time we sat food/beverages on the counter. The staff and food was great but we had a couple of issues with housekeeping. We love being on the main floor but the stairs to the upper levels are wood and located directly outside the bedroom window which can be loud. Overall - I would still recommend it for a young family on a budget.
My husband stayed here on our visit to the LA area during the Christmas holidays. Check-in was quick even though there were others ahead of me when I came in, front desk was friendly. The room was comfortable. My one criticism was that, when we checked in, the desk clerk told us that there would be free breakfast served the following morning. I questioned him, 'even though it will be Christmas morning?'. He emphatically replied, 'Yes.' On Christmas morning at 8:30 am, we walked into the breakfast area expectantly only to see nothing, not even coffee. No explanations were given.
