Hotel staff are great people. The Swingers Cleanliness of bathroom could be improved.
Bathroom has no mirror; bed is dirty, I have to wear my cloth while sleeping; floor worn out, smell bad.
Location Location Location!!!! Right where you need to be! I stay here every time I'm in LA .. The room I had this time wasnt as new/renovated like the other rooms I've stayed in previously. I was a little disappointed but still enjoyed my stay non the less and will definitely return.
The rooms had potential They are doing full on construction & demo while still renting rooms. Loud demo started at 7am & continued throughout the day. All day! Super noisey I'm surprised they are allowed to book rooms! Awful the manager gave us a discount
Really liked the idea of the hotel, but really under construction. The room was clean, but very minimalist. Staff were helpful. The location was great, though. Very noisy. Construction workers moving around right outside our door. And temporary access entrance door was open all the time, so it felt a little unsafe.
Enjoyed my stay in a well designed and highly stylized room. It was comfortable and had every amenity I needed.
Beverly Laurel is my go to place whenever I'm in LA. The rooms are clean and spacious. The customer service is exceptional, and the staff is more than accomodating! There's a restaurant named Singers 5 feet from the hotel. The food is delish, and I've spotted a celebrity or two whIle eating there. Definitely the hotel to book if you're looking for style and great location.
The only thing I liked was the location. It is near everything. The room was really dirty and with no manteinance at all. We were awake by the hotel staff at 8 am to see if the could clean the room! 8 am!!! incredible. During our trip to USA we stayed in 3 hotels and this one was the most expensive, ugly and dirty.
Walking distance to 3rd St with a lot of restaurants and shops. Also a 10 min walk to the Grove. It can get very noisy, particularly on weekends when partiers are arriving at 3am and are loud and obnoxious. The management doesn't seem to do anything about the noise.
Very clean, quiet, and friendly staff. Love the Swingers diner attached where you can get breakfast/lunch/dinner anytime. This hotel was convenient to everything we wanted to see in Hollywood/Beverly Hills. We walked to the Star Line hop on-hop off bus tour and were able to go everywhere we wanted. I highly recommend this hotel!
classic 50's/60's style noisy, hear people talking in the hallway
This is a well-located hotel, with good value for money. Our family of four stayed in a single room which had two beds, a huge shower and was quite clean. Bathroom has a separate W/C so more than one person could be in there. TV set up offers bluetooth/VGA/HDMI connectivity, so bring a cable. There are no decent toiletries provided, just soap and a combo shampoo/conditioner. We expected this, so it was fine. Room was very bright, so had to use shades and close bathroom door. We also had foam pillows, which are a little hard.
Good location on Beverly Blvd, walking distance from Macy's, pharmacy and a few restaurants (although LA is not a "walking" town). Cleannes of room. Breakfast included, good variety of items. Friendly and helpful staff. Room is too small if you need space for large luggage. We had a wall as view, with shared terrace (i.e. curtains had to remain closed for privacy). Breakfast time a little crowded, no enough tables.
Location Hotel lobby is old and average.
The room was nice, the hotel had a good staff. It`s well located, a block from a 24 hs CVS Pharmacy and from a mall with department stores, like Macys, Bloomingdales etc. The hop on hop off sightseeing bus stops one block from the hotel, as well.
Staff was very helpful. Serving wine, cheese and crackers at 5pm is a special treat, breakfast was good as well. The bed was a little on the rad side.
the location is good, near to a big department store, and there are some cafe and bus stations.
The staff was very helpful and friendly, the room was very clean and comfortable, parking was great, I loved pretty much everything about the Élan.
Good location and price ver reasonable considering location.Staff very friendly Breakfast is very, very simple. Needs a lot of improvement!
I loved that I could easily walk to Cedars hospital. The beds were the most comfortable I have slept in away from home. They were experiencing electrical problems so the toaster and waffler maker was not working.
Location is very good. Stuff ok. Breakfast is for free and nice. Internet for free and fast. Valet parking is 22 usd (tax included) and valet people is nice and fast. The room is clean. The room and the bathroom is small.
The quality of the linen was excellant. We did not want to get out of bed. So easy to sleep comfortably with. The airport taxi driver organised by the hotel was agressive and uncooperative
Small comfortable hotel in LA and not hidden from LA. Breakfast while watching the morning commuters was actually quite interesting.
A great central location - friendly helpful staff - soft beds - spotless clean - Bar needs to be bigger ??? Never an open seat !
I had a short and lovely stay at The Orlando Hotel. The staff was so nice, especially the concierge, Alan, who checked me in and immediately made me feel at home. I will definitely stay here again on my next L.A. Trip.
Great location, nice clean rooms, friendly staff. Little to no electrical outlet access for charging electronics.
I loved the ambience, tight down to the sausage and egg art on the wall in my room! The open air feel of the hotel was perfect for the sunny weather in CA. They have a nightly whiskey tasting and complimentary snacks at the front desk. There are plenty of areas to hang out outside your room and a foosball table in the courtyard. Although I didn't use the pool, I could see it from the 2nd floor deck and it was full of ducks (rubber ones, not real ones.) the location is right across from The Grove at Farmer's market so plenty of shopping and dining experiences are within walking distance. Also, the employees were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again. My bed squeaked every time I moved. It's a good thing I was so tired because I slept through most of it, but light sleepers would probably be bothered by it. The wifi is very slow. I wish there was self parking; I hate valeting my car.
I liked the vibe, Peets next door, nice room. I like the decor - loved the Bull Farm diorama! View out my window, but it was OK.
Cute themed hotel and the theme was carried nicely throughout. Good location, steps from the farmers market and grove shopping. The air conditioner in our room was crazy loud. It woke us up every time it turned on which seemed to be every 15 minutes, all night long.
Great location for the places I wanted to see (comedy clubs, upscale dining, great mall). Only problem is the sign for the hotel. If you are arriving after dark you will not see them. I passed it twice and ended up parking somewhere else and walking the street to find it (and every place you park in LA costs money).
Location $38 for parking with no alternative options

The wine and coffee hours The parking costs, cell phone service and the Internet speed
The hotel was very clean. The receptionists were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were very nice.
Pillows Overpriced parking @ $38 per day
I couldn't use the handset of the phone. It wasn't working.
Nice room and bathroom. Very large shower. Good location in LA. Front desk staff courteous and professional. Pulling into hotel from street is difficult. We had to circle twice around to find an open spot not blocked by cars that were also pulling in to the small overnight parking area.

elevator noise was annoying; staff was great other than one issue see below elevator noise was annoying; I purchased two rooms - one for me and my wife and one for one of my employees. My employee was upgraded. Really?
Very friendly and helpful staff Room was big, but bed was small
Great staff, great location. Could you some cleaning and updating in lobby and corridors.
Towels good Pillows smelled
We liked our stay in the Wilshire Crest : we arrived at around 10pm - the front desk clerk was very energetic, friendly and offered his help without becoming a burden: He stepped outside to help me park the car and made sure we're comfortable in our room. Our room was spacious, simply furnished and clean. Similarly, the bathroom was functional and very clean. Overall the hotel is comfortable and simple. It does not convey any luxury but it is pleasant to stay and definitely affordable. I'd say that in it's price range it's probably one of the best facilities you can find. I think the only downside is the street parking. You will find parking for sure - if not in the street then in the adjacent parking lot across the street. Either options is free. Not a big deal, just a minor inconvenience.
