Pro:large and clean room.Con:1. This is NOT a ski in ski out hotel. You need to carry the gear and climb a dirty and icy slope.2. The facility need a lot of improvement. Every time i took the elevator, it sounds like falling down instead of going up. The toilet doesn't work very well.3. The $10 breakfast buffet is like a joke. '
The only thing good about this place the hot tub and pool were heated. The staff might have well been non-existent. The message light on the phone remained on for three days. They did not know why. Ask for any information regarding the property and the surrounding area, you might as well have been asking the wall. Oh they did seem to know that I needed to imprint my card and sign the charge slip. Says it is a ski in/ ski out....not.....stay in Jackson its 12 miles away but there is nothing in Teton Village after the slopes close.
liked the ambiance, nestled in the mountains with rooms with character, comfortable enough, great outdoor pool/tub, but the night staff was rude and was not attentive....more often not at his post and when asked to work did comply with poor attitude.
This place is magnificiant. The views are wonderful. The hotel staff are great. Rooms are very confortable and extremely clean.
They gave us a Suite with a fireplace, Kitchenette, living room, etc. It was awesome! Lots of room and ambience.
stay ther every time i visit bali and would not stay anywhere elese
The staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent. The superior family rooms are cramped and small, we had to upgrade to a deluxe family room, which was larger but furniture and fixtures are very outdated (eg tv's are 20yrs old). Also room was close to front gate with traffic noise and a long walk from the pool and beach. I would not recommend this hotel for families of more than 3 people.
friendly, safe, relaxing, child friendly
Nothing was good! It was the most horrible experience I had staying in any hotel around the world. Poor room conditions, advertisement of its room is far from what it provided. Room can come with no windows and had a moldy smell to it.
Good location, close to beach and shops. This was our 2nd stay at this hotel and it has gone down hill in the year between visits. no where near as clean. smaller room. we will not go back again.
The grounds of the hotel where really nice. The location is great as close to everything and a short taxi/walk to Kuta. I would recommend the cottages as the superior rooms are not as nice.
Friendly staff, Proximity to the beach and shopping, Excellent gardens, Good breakfast, Good pool areas, Good room Cost of food and drinks etc. at the hotel, Internet very expensive by any standard when informed it was free, no other complaints
pool bar was definately a winner. location was great. staff looked after us really well. really clean and well looked after. some of the food at the restaurant was a bit less desirable.
The hotel has great facilities and service for a good rate. The staff were always pleasant, the location is brilliant and the facilities are top class.
The delux private villa with our own private pool. The service was a little slow. Especially when ordering drinks at the pool bar and food at the restaurants
This is a good hotel. Place, services, facilities are great. I enjoyed living at sun island hotel. No.
Very good value for money. Noisy, but that is to be expected in Kuta!
Bathroom amenities, specifically the shower and tiling.
It's a nice budget hotel, but nothing special about it. Good location: off the main road (so you don't get to hear all the Legian noise), close to the beach (10 minutes walk), generally okay in terms of cleaniness and services. Breakfast was rather scarce, furniture is out-dated, the rooms are located in such a way that I didn't get any sunlight in my room.
The friendly staff they made you feel very welcome we were only there for afew days to stay with friends but found the stay very relaxing. The breafast selection covered all preferences you have a noce pool area.
the location is awesome, right in the middle of legian but very quiet no free wi-fi include
Location, location, location I like this hotel. This is the third times I stay there
The location, the calm surroundings Lobby not practical
Staff were very friendly. hotel was clean and comfortable. would go back for sure.
Quiet environment, mostly couples and families. Staff should improve their english skills
the free shuttle bus to Kuta beach is too long to wait, hope can improve at least 10-20 mins once.
near legian street but away from noisy. very delicious breakfast.
The general settings of the hotel and its location Staff not all efficient or friendly
The hotel is absolutely stunning, with modern, tasteful and luxurious finishes. It is connected by frequent tram to its sister resort (Ayana) and to a private beach. It's a little out of the way from Jimbaran itself, and requires an inexpensive taxi ride to and from town. Food at the resort is good but expensive. The spa is astronomically expensive by Bali standards, although it is in line with Western high end resorts. The Rock Bar at the Ayana (for which Rimba guests get priority access) is a lifelong memory (although VERY expensive). The staff are extremely friendly and willing to help. The beach is beautiful. Location is quite convenient to the airport. In the early morning, it was only about a 10-15 ride. Honestly think it was our one-time bad luck, as opposed to a constant problem, but the air conditioning in our room could not be adjusted, even after we called for technicians to come and "fix" it. The temperature in our room hovered between hockey arena and cold-freezer. Made for poor sleep in an otherwise very comfortable room. Also, despite all the attention, the hotel managed to forget about giving us a promised wake up call. Fortunately, I set my own alarm just in case. But if I hadn't, we would have missed our early morning flight. The beach is very beautiful, but it's not for swimming. There are lots of big waves and big rocks, and the red flag is probably out 99% of the time. All in all, despite the shortcomings, I still believe this to be an outstanding hotel. Well worth the money (and priced much cheaper than many hotels that are likely comparable in quality).
All staffs are GST! Greet, smile and thank you! Best resort in Bali. We booked our stay via kayak and when check in, was told by receptionist that breakfast is not included in my package which have been confirmed by agent kayak. I showed them that my booking is inclusive of breakfast, I then emailed to kayak but no response from them till date. Rimba is really nice, after check in, receptionist called and said that the resort will extend breakfast to us for the our stay in Rimba. The staffs at Rimba ensure that whatever request you have will be fulfilled at their best possible. Not that I can think of..
Room is big, nice garden, private beach and swimming pool. No wifi in the room. Not sure whether it's because of the air-con or the wooden furniture, there is very strong scent in the room, too strong to fall asleep, basically I didn't sleep all night long.
Gives the impresion of abandoned area, everything dirty around, only 3 unbrelas available in pool area the rest were broken and lay aside,I am sure this hotel will close down soon
The atmosphere was good. Pool was great Price to high for bali. Had to pay for poor wifi connection
Nice resort. It is about 20 years old, but they do a good renovation. Beautiful architecture: wonderful reception - nice bedroom. Nice garden and clean beach. Close to the airport. The airport is open 24 h a day! Old air condition. Most people did not use the retaurant. It is expensive in comparison to the restaurants outside on the beach.
Beautiful setting just next to the sea. The spaciousness and Balinese design of each lodging surronded by different varieties of trees, shrubs, plants and flowers simply make it seem like a peaceful paradise. All in all, a great place to retreat in serenity and tranquility. The lobby is also very impressive although a bit liveless! Staff do not always observe the "Do Not Disturb" sign - too eager to clean the room?! The internet-charge is much too exorbitant (50,000IRP) in proportion to the fact that it is slow and in a very small room with not enough privacy. Hotel room can do with a bit of facelift.
just the landscape and breakfast pictures on website are deceiving. very old.needs massive makeover .full of mosquitoes .doesn’t worth the money.very popular for Russians.
Right on the busy Jimbaran Beach which is lovely, plenty of good value beach bars very close by. The hotel lacks any atmosphere.
lovely buildings in the style of Balinesian temples are placed in a beautiful tropical garden, wide sandy beach close to the hotel compex with shade and enough sunbeds to relax, romantic sundown and dinner in the fish warungs on the beach.
Very beautiful territory of hotel, good beach, the good location. Awful rooms and bathrooms! The urgent renovation Is required!
Very good food. Good big pool. During rainy season Jimbaran Beach gets dirty
Nice, clean rooms, welcoming staff, great buffett breakfast. Expensive food/drinks. Just outside the hotel is a very nice and very cheap restaurant. Also, bottled water and soda cheap outside the hotel
Fantastic tropical garden, nice Balinese architecture, tranquility & cosiness/ However the ocean was very dirty (full of debris0 compared to nearby stretches of shore at Intercontinental and other hotels
The Location of the hotel / proximity to the night clubs on the right ie cocoon, dejavu and 66 and restaurants on the left ie zanzibar and a few others. The pool... a bit dissappointing and the Room Service...always running late.
The pool looks beautiful but is too deep with no shallow sections so hard to just relax in unless you use the kiddies pool.
Very clean, polite and friendly staff, very central to restaurants. Lack of anything Indonesian ie tropical gardens, Indonesian music etc
Big, spacious rooms, great restaurant and bar, great beach outlook. Perfect location for access to shopping areas, spas, pubs, restaurants. Beach across the road is perfect. The whole pool arrangement is not good. Too small, too many steps, very dangerous for kids. The width of the pool near the bridge encourages kids to jump in. I bet a lot of injuries are sustained around the pool. I would also like to see more thought go into shielding the third and fourth floor balconies from other guests. It feels like everyone is watching you. I know we stayed in peak season, but on balance, I also think the accommodation is expensive.
O-CE-N has a good position, the hotel is very new and the staff is professional. The beach is only 10 meter from the hotel and in the zone there are many facilities for surfer, many clubs and resturant We needed to manage the price for the hotel taxi because they asked 4 times comparing how much we paid for the normal taxi... arriving to a price that was double.
Location is very good, cutomer service and staff is nice, rooms are spacious and comfortable. Gardens are lovely. It's hard to move around with stroller as there're stairs everywhere. Not enough funs/ A/C at breakfast area. Depending on the room you get, could be a little noisy.
It felt safe, and was clean and relatively new. The clean marble look is great, but can be slippery in the room and poolside. Also, the shower floor was not level, so the shower water pooled in the middle of the bathroom instead of going down the plughole. This made the slippery situation even more dangerous (especially with children).
Nice, clean and big rooms. Good food & excellent staff. They invoice in IDR, so when you've made your booking in US$, you probably gonna pay some extra dollars because of change rates.
The decor and location of accommodation near to a great beach
Everything was perfect! the staff was very friendly and tried to make your holiday as good as possible. All the time smiling and willing to satisfy your needs. The location is very good because:- very close to the sea (you have to cross a chain of restaurants but this is no problem); - the seafood restaurants across the parking lot are faboulos. I recomend the one right in front of the Vilas - logo with blue color - I forgot its name! Also the place is very quiet and you can really enjoy relaxing time at your own pool. All the time staff needed to come and clean the rooms were calling before in order not to disturb you. This hotel was the best experience ever! Hardly can be called as something I did not like was the fact that the breakfast is not so varied...but when you have everything else there - it does not even count
Very kind and helpful staff. Beautiful hotel A little noisy because closed to the main road
The villa is well situated near a beautiful beach. Inside Villa is beautiful and luxury. Good for privite settings. The website picture is misleading. The villa is not on the beach. The chairs on beach are outside villa boundary. It is not very comfortable. Since Villa is right in front of many seafood resturants, the air can be very smokey. There is big parking lot right in frond of villa, noisy.
Private swimming pool was very nice. In total the villa was nice: two rooms + bathroom +small garden with gazebo. Free wi-fi in the restoran light in the bedroom was poor... you are not able to read a book before sleeping.. also in the bathroom. If they will have a special room for massage and spa - will be great.. Also wi-fi in villa. In the restoran should be more wide menu for drinks.. Now if you was to dring whiskey you should get the whole bottle
suitable location if you just want to unwind at the beach (1 minute walk) or relax in the private pool. very friendly and helpful staff. located right next to the jimbaran seafood restaurants on the beach. the sunsets are not to be missed. may be a little out of the way if you want the busy shopping and clubbing areas of Bali. more options at breakfast would help as we were there for 5 days and only had a choice of american or indonesian breakfast.
Very good hotel. I enjoyed it. Service at the highest level. Ideal for honeymooners. Beach nearby. I enjoyed it.
Excellent Wi-fi was not free - it's bad.
we enjoyed the setup of the resort as we had adult children with us but still had privacy. It was great having the pool and private yard and staff were great. no
The villa we stayed (from the 2nd night onwards) is private and peaceful. Liked the private jacuzzi. On the first night we we given a room next to the public roads. It was noisy right into the middle of the night. Beach is not easily accesible as we have to walk through restaurants with excessive smoke coming from seafood grill.
i love it, will come again
The ground facilities were fantastic (pools, bars etc), food was also really good. Rock Bar is amazing at sunset! Room faciities are a little dated, even with an upgrade which we recieved. You are paying for the resort facilities. The resort is fairly remote from any other location for shopping or eating, would be nice if the resort ran shuttles other than just Kuta.
The breakfast is great and the staff are lovely - they were happy to change my room for me. If you are looking for a wedding venue, the hotel has beautiful pavilions and superb landscaping to create a dream setting. If you want a resort hotel in the sun that happens to be in Bali and where you'll be pampered, this is the place, but be aware that extras cost extra. If you want to actually experience Bali, think twice. It is an isolated, self-contained resort. Saying it is in Jimbaran Bay is deceptive - Jimbaran is 7 or 8 km away - if you want the famous "eating on the beach" experience, you'll need a taxi. There is a shuttle service, but it is to Kuta - the very place I wanted to avoid on my trip round Bali. Fortunately this was my last stop so I'd seen the real Bali already. You have to take their shuttle to their private beach - it is in the next bay and there are 160 steps down to the beach itself. Internet access is expensive. The standard rooms are generic American hotel style - nothing "Balinese" about them. Some have connecting doors which are not soundproof - mine was so bad I asked to be moved. The marble hallways create more noise.
Everything was prefect and highly recommend an one-bedroom ocean view villa, however, the rock bar and the ocean pool are gogerous, you can see the whole indian ocean as well as the food in the atmospheric restaurants. Staff are professional and good services! Spa is a must there, I was lucky made at the limited ocean view spa room. We will come back again and stay with Ayana. I think the buffet breakfast at Padi was bit pricy becuase the food was really average and I didnt actually eat. I recommend to pay the same price for Dava where you can stay quiet and enjoy your good breakfast.
the rock bar and pets for my baby!!! Excellent ideas The blockage lift access to rock bar due to wedding ceremony
Enjoyed the holiday on the beach as well as the brilliant swiming pools for entire three days. Especially, I was deeply impressed by the pool which is beside the sea with a gogeous and whole view of Indian Ocean. Of course it would be great if the hotel will be able to provide more and more attractive promotion, such as beneficial room rate, free room upgrade....
the staff are really excellent. One of the best managed hotels I've stayed in , and I've stayed all over the world. Facilities are absolutely superb well designed, well maintained. the gardens are a feature. no
good services and very comfort the price is expensive
Strongly recommend to visit Bar on the Rock. Amazing! Grill Restaurant is good as well. Cleanliness is clearly below 5 stars hotel standard. Location is not the best one - you are pretty isolated in this hotel.
Comfortable, friendly nothing
Good, convenient position behind the Four Seasons, close to the beach. Staff were nice. Nice spa facilities. Received a villa upgrade from 3 bed to 4 bed with a view of the hillside and some ocean glimpses. Karma is selling itself on providing top end luxury but this set of villas in Jimbaran is looking a bit tired inside and they seem to be taking a few short cuts on the important details that make for a luxury hotel - particularly in Bali where there are plenty that do it really well. It's nice, comfortable and the design is reasonably impressive at first, but I'm not sure that it's living up to the Small Luxury Hotels of the World brand. I would have been disappointed if we'd paid the full rack rate - but we got a pretty good deal through Booking.com so it was fine for the few nights we needed it.
The location was good from the beach. 10 min walk. Tucked away from all the busyness of Kuta. Good pool area. Simple but decent breakfast included. Good price with a/c. Not sure if the fan room would be good enough. Very humid. The room needed a little TLC. As very humid the bedding and pillows did smell of BO. I needed to ask for new pillow as the clean covers were not good enough for the smell, but they fixed it right away. All in all, good place for the price in Kuta!
