nothing it was shit! it was hard to find cause the street was not in the gps or google map. the street name should be listed in maltese and not engllish (cause it is hard to transalate) and it is not brand new...it was just renamed hmmm i wonder why - it had a bad rep i booked a superior room specifically with air con and paid extra 10 euro. the Air con did not work and had to to complain 3 times . i did not get my 10 euros back for the first night. They are also not flexiable about early arrivals and late departures

We enjoyed our room, I guess we were upgraded to a superior double! it was super nice. We stayed in a great double room on a higher floor with a terrace and very beautiful view. We were very positevly surprised. And I would like to thank for that- to whoever put us into this rom instead of a twin room. We had a bad experience of 50 EUR being stolen from our passport case from the room . We left passports and money in the room in a bag. We didn't expect the room to be cleaned as firstly we did arrive late previous night -and secondly we didn't put the " clean my room" sign on the doors.We were quite surprised to come back in the evening and discover that the room was cleaned and 50 EUR note from the passport case from our bag was gone. My husband did report it to the reception desk and that was the end of it. We didn't hear back from the manager. A shame. So I would like other guests to be aware of using the safe boxes that are provided in the room ( at extra charge) to avoid similar situation.
found the staff very obliging the staff on the reception were very helpfull and polite we loved the indoor pool and were delighted to have a fridge in our room this time the area is quite with a couple of nice friendly pubs within a couple of minutes walk we have been there before and would go back again the last time we were there work was ongoing same this time but the end result which is a new outdoor pool is fab it was just opening when we left the only other thing was they could do with more varitey of fruit at meal times but we were in low season so its hard to judge

The location is excellent and this was our main reason for the choice of this hotel. Was none too impressed with half board food so did not choose this option.would choose a better room standard if we stay at the Santana again.The balcony furniture is old and tired looking and needs to be replaced.We did change rooms from the one initially allocated as this was facing a bar on the ground floor of the hotel.There are several choices of room but these are not featured on the web site or that of the hotel.Do your homework and do not accept any room offered.
The hotel staff were efficient and very friendly, the food was excellent and plentifull,the room was clean and of a reasonably size and the shower was fast flowing and the water was always hot the doors leading to the terraces and pool area need renewing which would greately enhance these areas and the sunbeds were dirty,the view from our balcony of the derelict area behind the hotel (full of rubbish) could be cleaned up as it apparently belongs to the hotel.
Very well placed near bus terminus to tour the island. Also near good restaurants, The Overflow, Churchills, Incognito. We are always looked after very well. Lovely helpful staff.

To be honest, I was very disappointed and I didn't really like anything about the hotel, except from the nice swimming pool which was fantastic. I don't understand how this hotel is classified as a 4-star hotel. It was low value for money and the hotel was far away from everything. The comfort was very modest for a 4-star hotel. I regret that I booked this hotel.

Being part of the KEB evangelical church via Pastor Edwin Caruana team I once again enjoyed my stay. I did book an extra night because of the vocanic ash distruptions and a cancelled flight. I did not use the room and was informed by the duty manager that you might refund the cost of the room as I booked paid and then because air malta might have had a flight did not use the room. I await your decision on a refund thank you. the price on sunday I had lunch at the restaurant, it was a buffet, they charged 14,00 euro. Poor choice of food, the meat I couldn`t even eat, it was so hard that i doubt was beef, should be horse meat...the desserts had no taste, I ate pasta with see food sauce, very grease...My advice is do not go to the restaurant buffet.
DUring booking, we requested a room away from lifts, but we were allocated a room rigt next to the lift.

breakfast was very good and waiting staff very helpful. tv was very poor no English speaking channels. All surrounding hotels had sattelite channels.
The staff was very helpful and kind, they always take that extra step that made our staying really enjoyable. The room ( a quad room ) was very spacious and clean and since it was recently refurbished it smelled like new. The towels ( 2 towels per guest ) were changed every day during the daily cleaning of the room. The buffet breakfast included milk, coffee, juice, 3 kind of bread, jam, butter, cheese, ham, bacon, eggs and sausages. The hotel is 5 mins walk from a small but nice beach and there are 2 large car parks nearby. A great place to stay!
The location is lovely. Great views of St. Paul's Bay. For what we paid, it was good value for money. When arriving late at night, receptionist denied knowledge of our booking as they hadn't checked their printer all day to find the fax from booking.com (which had been there since the morning!). General hotel maintenance is not excellent. Breakfast was average.

Unfriendly staff, bad cleaning, lack of distinctness about service in the restaurant, old furnitures. For five days nobody start vacuum-cleaner in our room. I'll never propose this hotel. Additional the hotel is far from any cities. If you want to use remote control for TV, then you should pay for remote control.

the view and the courtesy bus was good service.... expensive bar...sheets only chaned once in 9 days..breakfast buffet was poor and flies on food...poor exchange rate on sterling....no tea and coffee facilities provided unless you pay extra which in a 4 star hotel should be in the room anyway...waited about i hour for iron and board..did not except sterling in bar and had to wait about 20 mins while reception did the tills so they could change.
Good facilities, good breakfast, clean room, courteous staff only a very minor thing but would have been better to have fitted sheets and bigger pillows!
Really don't understand the negative reviews. Great hotel, may not be a 4 star, however the rooms were clean, clean sheets and towels every day and breakfast was good as well. Some reviews state that breakfast is the same every day. This might be true, however there is so much to choose from that you could eat something else every day; i.e. 4 different ways in which eggs are prepared, salads, fruits, cereals, bread, toast and so on! I'd definately recommend this hotel!
Reception phone was answered promptly and Alex hotel Manager was courteous and made personal enquiry. Reception counter staff took long time to answer your queries at the counter. Internet access was doggy and Food was mediocre. Not 4 star , 3 star status at the most.

We found a little pub on the corner which provided a great meal and drinks and a fantastic price. This hotel was just ok. The air conditioning did not work throughout and we found that the breakfast was not as expected (warm milk etc)

The quality and choice of food was very good and the staff were friendly and accommodating for a couple with young children The room reserved for us had no shower curtain, a bad smell of foul waste and wasnt clean. But the Manager, Alex resolved our disappointment by upgrading us to an apartment and complimentary bottle of wine - This was a good gesture and resolved the issues beyond our expectation. Nothing about the Hotel. Maybe the location Dirty room. Smell of smoke from cigaretts all the time. Aircon not working. The room looked nothing like the pictures. Smelly beds. I stayed in a lot of hotels around the world. And this for sure cant be a 4 star hotel maybe 2star. I booked a 4 star hotel with booking.com two weeks ago in Valencia that was exellent.
the most thing i liked about the hotel is its location which is close to the cafes and the shoping area the size of the room,it is very small.the AC was not cooling

Hotel was located in tourist area. Nice resturants nearby. Hotel breakfast was good and inexpensive. A bit noisey in the mornings (believe some renovation work was underway). Air conditioning inside room was weak.

The location was okay and the view from the rooftop was nice. The hotel is not clean at all and you have to pay for every service, in the offer I booked the wifi was for free but when we arrived there we had to pay for the wifi. Also we ordered a plate and a fork for the room and we had to pay 2 euros for that! It was really not a nice experience at all.

This hotel is a good bet in the St paul's bay area, friendly helpful staff, decent pool, and near to the main bugibba bus station which is great for getting a room. Management responded to my special request via booking.com for a sea view room v quickly, and the view was good. Recommended for the price.
it´s located in a quiet area the juice in the morning at breakfast was horrible; on the internet site it says they have laundry facilities, however there is no washing machine in the hotel; for the first 2 days I had to stay in a room without air condition and right next to a power generator (noise); there seemed to be a lack of communication between the staff; the swimming pool could be cleaner

Rooms were nice and clean and towels changed every day, hotel was quiet, breakfast was generous, pool was lovely. mostly elderly couples staying here, not a very happening location for twenty somethings!

Very friendly and helpful stuff, good location, sea-view from the room (requested this into my booking). Many old people, but also a long of young couples. Excellent value for it's price, really enjoyed my stay! No fridge in the room.

- It should be allowed tu use the fridge wthout any additional fee or key. Shutting down the ventilator in the bathroom was impossible.
Ideal location in the middle of the island of Malta but you should be driving. Also good for families with small kids. Restaurant though small served nice veg food too.
The staff were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble, it is only 5 minutes walk from the bus depot for getting arround the whole of the island.
The room we were allocated was larger than we expected, towels changed every day and bedding changed every 3 days to a good standard. We found the hotel to be an excellent location for travelling around Malta. Didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment. One of the receptionists was very sullen and quite abrupt to some of the residents. The balcony in the room was a decent size but the view was partially blocked by another room. The pool area is in need of an update as is the games room. Definately not a 4* hotel but a good 3*.
Very spacious and clean room, beautiful sea view, nice pool (also indoor), great location 5 mins from Bugibba bus terminal to go all around the island The indoor leisure center was under reconstruction so a bit messy, but I guess they'll be done before the summer. We stayed 4 nights and changed our towels every day, but never changed our sheets.
Big room, view of the sea, clean The staff does not tell you that you receive two little packets of bath gel (hardly enough for two people even for one night) and that if you stay for more than one night, you have to buy your own. They are rude and really unhelpful, not 4 star at all. The girl in the reception did not know much about her own island, not even where the temples are and what they are!

Very happy,spent 3 nights at end of January. Hotel quiet obviously,given a top floor sea view,that was cleaned once during stay. Continental breakfast wasn't very impressive but apart from that an enjoyable stay and a perfect base for our visit at a reasonable price. (included use of gym, indoor pool, jacuzzi).
The large apartment and The large kitchen. Helpless staff. The receptionist could not distribute a mail because her boss was not there and she was not allowed tho handle the computer. We had to wait until next day to get our mail. Unbelivable!
The location of the apartments was excellent with a wonderful view of the bay. Nicely furnished, modern and clean. Bathroom immaculate. Selection of bars , restaurants on the doorstep but not in a roudy district. Pool area very nice. Bus stop outside hotel but also only 10 mins walk to Bugibba bus station for access to most parts of island. More English speaking tv channels would have been nice - BBC world news was only option. Local info pack in room would have been handy. Female receptionists not very smiley but polite and efficent.

Leaving(!) and the spa I was booked to stay for only 4 nights and tried 3 rooms in my time there. The first night they stuck me in the time share apartments .... dirty, smelly, mouldy, other people's laundry blocking the door to (167)my room, I could go on. Next they moved me to a room which wasn't an awful lot better (374). Finally they moved me to a room which was 'ok' (128), but certainly not 4*. Ensure you get a good room!

There was no noise in the evenings so no problems getting to sleep. Lovely swimming pools. Very busy dining room, had to wait for a table. Had to change room after one night very small room and no terrace. Next room had no sun on the terrace.
Locations was good. Close to bus station. The breakfast buffet was pretty good. They gave us a horrible room with a useless shower. I complained, then they upgraded us two twin beds. It was like night and day. They never replenished any of the consumables. I would recommend a better hotel. This is more like a three star hotel.

Great room. Great view. The beds were uncomfortable. Very hard. Requested queen bed but got twin beds pushed together. Staff seem to be teenagers working during summer holiday and weren't helpful with simple requests like 'where can I get a beach towel?' Although you wouldn't need to ask if the information in the guest directory was correct.

Was comfortable, nice sea view, good pools, decent food and quiet atmosphere Incompetent staff..we were given the wrong keys at first. When we came all the way down for new keys, were given an average 2-star room. When we complained again, we were given a better room but still slightly inferior to other rooms of the same standard. Not just that our room was located at the far end of the corridor, and quite far from the lifts so was always time consuming going in and out of the hotel.
