The hotel staff was excellent, very polite. They provide me with the room at 10am morning although the check in time was 2pm Old furniture and doors in the room...
Pokey room, no fan, no air conditioning in 41C
Hotel Union does not live up to its standard, its NOT 3 stars.....
Hotel staff is fine This hotel must be renovated : ventilation is very bad (an unpleasant smell hurts you as you go in and throughout all the hotel), room doors are not steady, very poor comfort dating from 40 years ago if not more. Tap is leaking in the bathroom
The location In a word, it is a shabby hotel
staff the furniture are very old
The location was good, but nothing else was (and we are not demanding guests at all!). We stayed two nights at the Hotel Union and did not manage to sleep either night as the room was very small and absolutely unbearably hot. The windows opened into an airless courtyard and the water pipes were noisy. The hotel almost overcharged substantially by shifting the decimal place on the credit card bill.
Nothing . Rooms full of cigarette smoke
Solid breakfast, good location, nice staff, easy to find, good for one night stay The last renovation of the hotel was probably 1978.
The position is great, the staff very friendly, the rooms, halls and dining area extremely clean. Some furniture items, small bathrooms.
Ideal location. Great service. Exceptionally clean Some problems with the working of the TV
Location in the hart of old part of Belgrade where you have pedestrians under you eye walking in the shops arround the area and only 10min walk to the castles. Great ambience. Spa and pool would be the ultimate desire of a demanding person :)
Very clean hotel, the newst in the city I think, only 4 months open. Perfect location and very good breakfast. The staff were very pleasant and helpful Problem with the tv
it was modern and design hotel. Room was big and new. WC with Shower ist big as well. So we like too much and relaxed an that weekend. we will stay again there. It is in the heart of belgrad centar, so we were very close to the shopping, restaurants, cafes, bars, and diskos area. it directly ont TRG Republica. Breakfast-Buffet was wonderful and perfect! No Wi-Fi in the Room, and No Wi-Fi in the Lobby, just in the Restaurant from Hotel was Wi-Fi there, and it was for free as well.
Location and cleanliness of the room Restaurant and front desk people sometime were unkind
Nice design of the room & bathroom, very clean, located on the main shopping street (but no street noise in the room due to good isolation), mostly surprised my the good quality, service and atmosphere in the restaurant / wine-bar - with live-music, all was excellent. I had a problem switching on the TV, but was too tired to ask for assistance and chose to go to sleep in the comfortable bed instead :-)
Good large room recently upgraded Terrible food and ongoing renovation work in Public areas very poor reception area
Great location in the centre of the town. A bit run-down but very quaint and endearing, with beautiful stained glass windows and murals. Free wireless internet a bonus. Breakfast was perfectly fine. Staff tended to be a bit brusque but I suspect this is partly the Serbian way - they were always responsive to my requests however. I would be happy to stay there again No gym or pool
Staff were very friendly and ready to help over and above their call of duty. Food was excellent and quantity of food was more than enough. There was no way downstairs from the First floor to the reception are due to ongoing renovations.
Everything. The staff were courteous, friendly, extremely helpful and spoke excellent English. The breakfast choice was very good and in my opinion, catered to all tastes. I was allocated one of the re-furbished rooms which was warm and very comfortable and had a view towards the Sava River. The location was in walking distance of an excellent pedestrian mall lined with boutique shops. A short taxi ride takes you to Usce shopping center which is clean and modern. Cheaper shops are to be found in sidestreets and all are well stocked. Although only spending 4 days in the hotel, I felt a twinge of sadness at having to continue on my journey as I had immensely enjoyed my stay. In my opinion, some of the views on the hotel website were unfairly negative.
rooms are a little bit small
Hotel location communist era service; communist era food.
location, view from the room, wifi (and it was working well), atmosphere of the hotel. Room was smaller than I expected. Shower but no bathtub. renovation still going on. reception is hidden. lower staircase is a maze. Hope that renovation is finished soon!
Room was good, building very interesting. The bed was extremely comfortable. Wireless internet the fastest we have experienced anywhere. 1. They really should sort out their non smoking floors and policy. 2. Tourists may like to drink tea. It does not mean they are sick. They would like to have tea made from hot hot hot water and nice good brew. It seems a difficult thing to acquire. 3. At payment stage there was an issue with booking.com rate. Apparently they renovated the rooms and felt they should charge more. This is another thing that must be sorted out before it is a grand hotel that it should be.
My room had been refurbished to a high standard so I appreciated this comfort. The lobby and public areas of the hotel need to have similar refurbishment as they look down at heel. There was no proper alternative to a cooked breakfast.
Location and staff Small room
A very traditional eastern European feel, and it is very centrally located in Belgrade - easy access to everything.
Reception (temporary, but could be better.
Hotel is located in the center of the Belgrade, great position for discovering the city. Unfortunatley hotel does not deserve 4 stars, the rooms are big, but the furniture is outdated. Rooms have air conditioning, but they should be renewed. Also breakfast would deserve more three stars than four. The staff is friendly but I would expect better rooms for the rank of a hotel although I must addmit that the price of the room reflects the quality. I would estimate it to 3 stars or less.
Best lacation and reasonable price other things are normal standard
The only thing great about this hotel is its location - when you step out of the hotel you find yourself on the main bulevard. There is nothing to like about this Hotel. Bathroom was full of mould, water from the pipe was yellow, stuff poorly speaks any other language than serbian and really unfriendly, you have to pay for the "secured" garage" just to find you car scratched the other day. The price for the room is extremely overvalued.
location, something traditional
just down town !
Great hospitality by all staff.
The staff i extraordinary friendly and service minded and the location is lovely.
Very friendly staff and a great location.
Nothing When I arrived, my room was already occupied. They moved my to another hotel for one night and moved me back for the second night, but because they arrived late to pick me up from the other hotel, I was late for the meeting I was supposed to go to. I had a cockroach on the ceiling. I asked for directions to go to a restaurant and they mislead me. Very bad experience. I would never recommend.
Location and service
Excellent staff, good breakfast, convenient location. Too much smoking going on in reception-bar area (like everywhere else in the city). The walls are pretty thin.
Clean friendly good breakfast Noise from courtyard at night no lift!!
central location, friendly staff slightly overpriced
The location and the service
We previously stayed at a hotel that was pricier. For this hotel, given the overall qualities (cleanliness, location, etc.), this was an excellent choice and exceeded expectations. It looks run down from the outside, but to me that was irrelevant. For some, how it looks from the outside may be a factor.
The cleanliness and comfortability of the room. The location as its easy access to bars/restaurants and some shopping. The hotel staff were absolutely friendly and assisted us to the maximum were possible.I had a really pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in belgrade for a chilled and relaxed experience as the hotel is very quiet.
This hotel does not meet the categorization that is listed. There are no common rooms and breakfast is served in the room. There is a very bad smell of drains in the bathroom. In Bulgaria, this hotel and would not get three stars rating. Nothing except the location.
Excellent staff, romantic luxurious huge room with remarkable facilities. The breakfast in room idea is great. Parking provided by the hotel is another plus. Many good restaurants on the same street in less than 300 m distance
Nice hotel and good price. Need a good map to find the hotel.
Location, room size, sanitary equipment ! Breakfast was quiet poor - no eggs, ham or something. just one cup of espresso and an glass of orange juice ! Breakfast to room service for such price point should be even higher !
This hotel met and exceeded all expectations. The staff was courteous and accommodating to a special request.
The place is superbly positioned, 5-10 min walk from the main walking/pedestrian street in Belgrade, but is itself in a quiet street surrounded by a few very nice restaurants/cafes The hotel does not have it's own restaurant, and therefore breakfast supplied cannot really be called breakfast - best to just go out and walk a few steps to a nearby cafe. the hotel is really just a nicely renovated old-style 2-story apartment building with nicely done up rooms.
The location is fantastic with lots of super restaurants bars and cafés nearby as well as the Danube and city shopping district. The room was clean, well equipped and quiet. Please see above
Location Small room comaprative to the price paid
Closenes to the Kalemegdan and Knez Mihailova street.
It has a splendid location on the 'Bohemian' Skardalija street which is crammed with bars and restaurants, all at reasonable prices - and there are less touristy venues all around too. Very friendly staff and modest but clean rooms.
Great Location and Incredible Service from Staff.
in the middle of old, historical, boemic part of Belgrade no telephone in the room, very small bathroom
Clean rooms, very amable reception lady, near to many restaurants, good if you want to stay in the middle of the city. Very old building, a little smelly, it is not reallya hotel but a pension, the breakfast available quite late, no parking. space of the hotel.
The staff is very kind. No
Very helpful reception staff and clean, reasonable 2 star style room with aircon but windows would not close. Located in pleasant part of city very close to centre, restaurants and parks Almost no facilities apart from room, no sign of elegant areas shown on hotel's website, band playing and singing outside room until 1 am. Limited breakfast choice in grim bar area, however, the food was good. Very hard to find, no signage in English and does not look like a hotel.
Superb town, very good location, nice people, wonderfool food! Do not think twice, go to Belgrade! Problems with the parking place.
Perfect location unside of nightlife-city, very nice girls on reception, useful neighbourship with restaurant. A feeling like you are using simply a flat in the city. Excellent for short stay to have fun in Belgrade ;) Entrance door :) The smell of he restaurant kitchen on the 2nd floor
very friendly welcome, great central location, clean facilities
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Very friendly staff, nice interior design
location is superb breakfast needs improvement!
Very good location. A place where I would like to return, when next time in Belgrade.
Nice small hotel with 6 rooms, friendly staff, super location... - no parking space
friendly and unobtrusive staff - ready to do that little extra for their guests
Great atmosphere, felt like I was home.
Owners and staff were very helpful. An oasis of rest. A place to return.
the room was very big and decoration was modern. Very well located in the centre Too expensive.
One of the best as to quality:price ratio. Once in the newly designed lobby, you feel that you're in a good hotel. The room was well-designed and bathroom compact but clean. Only 6 or so rooms; ours with view on wall in a court. Staff most helpful.
The location of the hotel was perfect in walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and historic sites. The staff was friendly, helpful and very professional. The room was nice and comfortable. I could not ask for more and will recommend this hotel to friends and family visiting Belgrade.
Room and hotel staff The absence of restaurant and bar
The hotel is very well furnished, with modern and spacious decor. The staff are very friendly and attentive. It is situated within the heart of the shopping and entertainment district. I would highly recommend this hotel.
The hotel design is lovely and is very peaceful while being in the fantastic spot for downtown Belgrade. Staff are very helpful and take care of your personal needs. The hotel is very clean and extremly well equipped in comparison with other Belgrade hotels.
Owner and staff very helpful. A delightfuf hotel in a very central location NO
The location was great for getting to the Citadel and that is why we chose it. The cleanliness of this hotel was not up to par to it's rating. The carpet was old, the room needed painting and the sheets were stained. Your ratings are usually more accurate.
Location of the hotel is very good: all restaurants and leisure activities are relatively close in walking distance. Local shopping street are also close and taxis are available at any time. Friendly staff, close to tourist attractions. Quite small rooms and decorating style reminded mid-70 style. Heard that early days hotel had a reputation as an "afternoon-break" hotel with unmarried and/or lover couples as no extra question was made at reception. Free wifi was available only on 1st and lobby floor. House keeping was ok, bathrooms missed renovation. Quite ok experience, since you do not expect too much. Ok for single travellers, but I would make another choose if taying my gilr friend/wife. Braksfast was very Eastern- European style.
Hotel have very good and very affordable restaurant, serving all kinds of traditional Serbian food. Try it and you'll enjoy it! Wireless internet in the reception area is free - if you don't mind cigarette smoke hanging around. The first impression is huge cloud of tobacco smoke hanging around the reception area. This cloud is produced and managed by the guests of the hotel bar on the ground floor. This cloud is so huge that your suit is going to stink after tobacco in only few minutes spent in the reception area. Our room should be "non-smoking", but it was certainly not. Even more, the smoke from the ground floor is so intense that it spreads all around the hotel. Even as far as 4th floor! The room facilities, such as TV, airco and other funiture was "yellow" from tobacco smoke. Only the bed sheets were clean. You can smell the tobacco everywhere. Room was not clean. Dust was everywhere. Bath needs major rennovation and reparation. Carpet should be replaced.
The best in the hotel was the price, because of its location which is in the center of the old town very old furniture
There were a little problem with parking. I had a parking reservation but the hotel has only 6 parking slots and we had to search for slot somewhere else. Also there was another problem with the room, because there was no empty room for 3 people so they gave us two rooms - one for one and one for two people. The next day there was another receptionist who didn't know the change and wanted that we pay for the other room too. We clarified the case and left the hotel.
nothing special old facilities and not comfortable old rooms poor breakfast
The location of the hotel is very good as it is close to the centre and the fort, and much of the nightlife is nearby. The room was quite basic and the street could be quite noisy at times.
Location and nothing else. The hotel, the tiny room, the uncleanliness, the toilet that did not flush, the smell etc etc
